BestBuy S10/+: Pre-Order Thread

yep i was getting worried for a second... i wanted this thing bad on release day its only tradition... had the s7, s8 and now s10 on release day... but more importantly its my birthday weekend and i just wanted this phone for my birthday..ordered me the white dome glass too... hopefully the installation is smooth lol

Well happy early birthday and enjoy the phone for me too, doesn't look good on my end for tomorrow but I'm still hoping.

So I called Best Buy tonight around 8:35pm to check on my order. Guy said my phone is in and the reason he didn't call is because he thought it would be unprofessional to call after 8pm. So I asked about the trade-in and I can wipe my phone tomorrow and hand it over. He says that the trade-in is through Verizon and I would get a box and send it back to them and the credit would be applied over 24 months. I was like what?!? No,no the trade-in is through Best Buy and I get a $300 gift card to apply against the cost of the phone. He said he needed to check his binder and lo and behold "you are correct sir, the trade-in is through Best Buy, My apologies" Nonetheless I am scheduled for 11am tomorrow. Glad I called.

My best buy swore I'm getting all 4 tomorrow, they said shipment is coming in tomorrow and they AR egetting lots. Way diff than earlier. We shall see.

I seem to be in a similar situation - stuck on Pre-ordered. I called the Best Buy store who said they didn't even have my preorder in the system. Okay. So they connected me to corporate, where a very nice gentleman told me he saw that the phone was on its way to the store. I'd try giving BB corporate a call and see if you can get any info out of them.

Well I called my Best Buy store again today cuz all they had in the other day was black and white. And she said nope I don't have any pink one yours isn't here sorry. She said will call you when it comes in. and I'm off all day tomorrow when I was really hoping to get it she said well we have trucks coming in and out all day you never know.

They have told me that only 4 phones came in for their online orders but they have stock for the people that pre-ordered in store the next day. I'm extremely irritated because how do people that ordered the next day get theirs before people that pre-ordered the night before. Ugh, they said another shipment will be in by 10am but there's no guarantee

I've accepted that I probably won't. The lady didn't seem to confident about the next shipment and she said that there's no telling how many online orders they will get. I'll just see what happens. At least I'll stop hitting my refresh button on my order lol.

I just called my BB asking for my status. They told me that they are calling people, but they could not look up my order and tell me the status, that I have to just wait and see if I get called. Now that sucks. Then I asked, it says on my order that it is ready for tomorrow pickup, am I guaranteed my phone and she said no

Update: My cancel button is now grayed out. I hope that is a good thing.

I ordered online and it shows pre-ordered on my status bar in my order. Lol I hope I get it too. Definitely learned my lesson with BB, they did the same with my Pixel XL 3 when I pre-ordered. No trade in, no payments. I bought it straight out with VZW as the carrier.

Mine shows nothing new online and the dude at best buy told me no hope. But they called and had all 4 and said more were coming tomorrow. So I wouldn't lose all hope yet!!

I hate to say I told you so, but I told you so! Even if you ultimately get your phone on the release date, it's always a big stress mess and really vague info with Best Buy. Hopefully more people will learn like I did and go elsewhere for phone pre-orders.

My proof? I'm typing this on my S10 that I got yesterday. Best Buy blows.

With that being said, I wish every single one of you luck! I really hope you get your phones in time for the weekend because it's incredible!

Lesson learned. I guess there's still hope I get a call tonight or tomorrow morning, not holding my breath. I was going to pick up the new $1400 Sony a6400 tomorrow from them but I don't think I'll be giving them the sale. Just ordered it from B&W.

bestbuy is the worst... i got lucky this time but to be honest this will be the last time i use them..its all good though i plan to have this phone for a few years and dont look to upgrade anytime soon... just give me my s10 and my trade in credit and we good

What did you order? I called from work around 3 and I had called yesterday or the day before and they only had black and white I think she said blue came in but no pink. I got unlocked maybe that is why. If you go to Samsung and try to order it says the 15th. But she did say they get trucks in a few times a day so I will hope LOL! Thanks!

Was watching tv tonight and got a call with caller Id from Best Buy. Rang two times but disconnected before I could answer. Not sure what that means. I will be visiting them first thing tomorrow morning.
