BestBuy S10/+: Pre-Order Thread

Yesterday at about 6pm I got an email stating pickup delay and if it dont get here by April 7 it will be cancelled. Well today at 1150 am I got an email and text that my phone arrived. Of course I'm up north 4 hours away.

I'm sorry to hear about that are they doing anything to compensate? Would you consider taking a different color?

They don't have any other colors apparently their is none. I was told last night if I end up getting the April 7th email like others than yes they will compensate me. Last year I got a free case and should of learned and not ordered from them. Maybe getting unlocked was a bad idea and I should of ordered Sprint brand who knows. But if I lose out on the buds and get the April 7th email they will give me a gift card worth enough money to get the buds or I will be very upset. But if I was to order a different color I would lose out on the pre-order of the free buds cause I would of taken white. But they have nothing now. Someone said if you go to their website they are all sold out and the call center told me they only have or are getting the E. And I didn't know we had a BB warehouse here in town.

I'm also in Miami, fl ordered s10+ unlocked 128gb prism black and it still says in progress. Ordered on 3/6/19

I didn't get the buds either they didn't receive them but they gave me much more for my S8 plus as a trade in so it balanced out

Make sure they compensate you it is unacceptable that you wait almost a month for a preorder

Well I bought 3 cases off Amazon 2 -blason and a Spigen and they weren't real expensive but yes I was hoping to get a Symmetry for free. Last year I got a tech 21 but I still should get the 130 gift certificate if the buds are sold out unless I get the e-mail some are getting saying April 7th then the promotion will be over. I am the only one at my store who ordered unlocked pink in the plus. They had a 100 pre-orders.
 
Finally got an email today that my phone is available for pickup. Calling the store to verify it's actually there since they Barney Fife'd me yesterday when they said they had and they really didn't.

talking to the people when i was preordering i made sure they were clear about $550 trade in PLUS $100 for verizon branded phone.. in addition to the phone being reduced to $950..

i get there and it’s $550 trade in and $50 for using verizon in addition to being charged $30 upgrade fee.. these people at best buy have their head so far up their arse it’s ridiculous
 
I think people are misreading the April 7th email. I think they can only hold a pre-order 30 days after release then auto-cancelled if it is not in (March 8 - April 7). I would be shocked if a majority are not filled in next week or 2. I have received same email for a blu-ray player I ordered in past.

Same thing happened to me when I picked mine up. The lady said, do you want to activate it now, and I said what is the benefit, I was just going to bring it to work and take my sim out of my old phone and stick it in the new one.

She said, well if you active it now, you get another $50 off. I said oh that sounds good, but is there any activation fee from AT&T and she said, yeah there is a $30 activation fee, so I said, so I am really only getting an additional $20 off then right? And she said yes, so I said that's okay.

I love how the conveniently leave out key things.
 
It should release right away. I returned a the Note 9 to target just to turn around and buy one at best buy bc best buy was giving away the wireless charger and some other things

Thank you, after your reply I went for it and cancelled Best buy order and replaced target order, and have received my Phone and target Gift card
 
Well I am just hoping to not get the dreaded April 7th email.
I talked to a chat support they said I should get an email on the 14th of march to pick up phone but now my phone says In progress but doesnt give me a date yet. I think it moved up since yesterday I preordered my phone in store at BB last Saturday. Is in progress a good sign I will get it sooner than the 14th?

The buds you need to finish the offer thru the Samsung app. They don't give them out in store. They will mail them to you

My order said in progress the next day after I preordered. I do not think that is an indication that the phone is coming sooner. I, like many others, recieved the shipment is delayed message yesterday at 6pm.
