Hey gang, I just acquired a Note20 Ultra 5G on Wednesday.
At first it seemed wonky at times but I figured it was settling.
Today while out and about I lost all signal like five different times. The lady at the local Verizon store said the last update Samsung pushed out messed up part of the 5g, and that I have to download an app that disables 5g and use only 4g/LTE. WTF??
Anyone else seeing this?
Thanks

Yeah,several times.
I went ahead and returned it and got a new one since was still within the 14 day return policy.
Setting it up now so I won't know more till tomorrow.

Ok hopefully everything good with this one 🤞

Just an update to this thread.

I got a replacement Note 20 ultra from Verizon, it does the same thing.

Using the Samsung app I switched it to use only 4g/LTE and I'm still losing service randomly. I'm losing service/signal at places that I KNOW I had service with my Note 9.

Im wondering if the S21 ultra has the same issue.

Verizon says it's a Samsung thing, and they say Samsung says it's a Verizon thing.

They say hopefully a future update will fix it but who knows?

I'm still within my 30 day trade in period and I'm thinking of trying the S21 but a Verizon store told me they have the same issue.

Anyone have any thoughts on the S21?

I've found the note 20 ultra 5G very stable on the Vodacom network in South Africa provided that I turn off the 5G option in network connection settings
