Yes, but I doubt Verizon is getting it in August unless it's 3G only. Verizon will most likely get it last out of all the carriers. After all they got the GS1 (Fascinate) last out of all the carriers last year.

I think the delay may have something to do with some other phones coming out around the same time(iphone 5, gs2, etc)

True, but the tremendous amount of hype surrounding both the iPhone 5 and the SGSII means the Bionic won't even make a splash in the pond unless released before the two. As far as the SGSII releasing without LTE, your opinion on the matter is as valid as anyone else's. So, until we have confirmation on LTE or no LTE everything is speculation.

I agree that the gs2 and iphone 5 are going to be the top two phones when they are released and unless the bionic is unlocked it isnt going to stand a chance against those two even if it has better specs or not.

I think the Bionic will do very well regardless when its released if Verizon gets behind it. Verizon is a master at marketing the Droid line-up when they want to. Everyone surely remembers the OG Droids marketing campaign. That was epic. I kid you not when I went into best buy to pick it up someother guy was getting it too. He said, and ill never forget, "man those commercials got me. You see those stealth bombers and things? Awesome!"

Id love to see another Droid campaign like that one and what better phone to do it on but this one. The Bionic has so much potential for some awesome commercials.

No doubt its launching at a bad time but hopefully Verizon gets behind it. If they leave it out to dry then it will be clear where their loyalty lies.

Yeah you'll never see a commercial like that again from Verizon now that they carry the iPhone. Those commercials definitely drew me into checking the OG Droid out. It's too bad Verizon got the iPhone because I think Verizon would continue to promote their Droid line hardcore. You hardly see any advertising for Android on Verizon anymore.
