Agreed- Phil, I'm sure you're reading these posts, well, you started a thread that garnered attention for both yourself and this website. You mentioned leaks were eminent in "minutes".
Minutes have passed. Were you wrong? Or is it some other issue? I feel given you benefited from this rumor, you in some ways owe an update, or at the minimum- an elaboration at what prompted this thread.

This has turned into a hostage situation. Someone save me! Why can't I just pull the trigger on a perfectly good phone like the Charge right now? Something has a hold over me with this Bionic odyssey. 
I say leave Phil be and stop calling him out. He obviously had some good info and it has since changed. These things can, and often do, change in a instant.
There is a reason very few people leak information: day to day hour to hour and minute to minute info changes. Nobody wants to come forth because what they say today will probably change tommorow. Im not trying to sound important but I've seen it first hand. I've seen things change over the course of hours.
I say leave him be because its obvious whatever info he had has since changed. It goes with the territory. Its actually expected.
Just a suggestion but I say let it rest....

Phil said no such thing. He said that the new Bionic was on its way, and it is. Verizon is currently testing the hardware, which is why he said something about leaks. He said NOTHING about Verizon making an official announcement.
To be fair Droid800, The OP did state leaks from VZW inventory should start leaking shortly. Thats pretty official. So they shouldn't be chastized for asking. They want to know what happened and rightfully so but like I explained things have obviously changed.

They weren't asking, they were criticizing Phil for something he didn't say. He never said that the phone was ready for launch. Heck, he never even said that the phone had made its way through Verizon's testing paces.
People really need to stop looking the gift horse in the mouth. What Phil told us was that the phone had made it to Verizon, which was new information. He didn't offer up anything besides that.

How about i make a thread saying, oo a 6core phone with 4 gig s of ram is coming in the near future.

I wouldn't jump all over anyone and "Demand" answers.. It is not very polite. I am just as eager to hear news as anyone, but lets not throw darts at anyone, especially the people who are trying to help us out..

Everyone was expecting Leaks, specs, pictures, anything, and there have been none. SOOO...An update status would be nice.

We are just asking them for a 1 sentence explanation. If you took the time to start such a big thread you can atleast end it with a simple statement.
Sometimes people act like leakers or info givers are like gods or delicate geniuses. And they cant be questioned on anything, cause then thats blasphemy. They merely have a little more info than the rest of us. They cant speed up a release date, or make anything more affordable.
And no one is jumping down anyones throat. Sometime you people make things sound out to be more than it is.

Here's why Phil can be put on the spot:
1) Phil made a public announcement of a newsworthy item, on a website he has a financial interest in via ad revenues. Many online articles were written about this thread, his post, and linked back to this website because of his comments.
2) The post said "Leaks any minute"- about 3 weeks ago. Any minute seems a bit inaccurate at this point.
I have nothing against him at all, and no one here is getting testy- but, he was asked to update everyone and say anything be it "we have no new info but I stand by my original post, I was mistaken, or something else"- but just, say something other than start a commotion, benefit from it- and stand silent as it appears to be inaccurate right now.

Geesh! I wonder how anyone could get emotionally involved on anything they read in a forum.

Certainly you should agree anything you read on the internet is taken with a grain of salt.

I don't blame or put any onus on Phil for what he said. The way that I read the first post was that since it was in the inventory system, you can expect leaks to soon follow. I basically read it as a generic statement meaning that leaks should be coming along soon since it's in the inventory system (which typically happens). Well, that obviously hasn't happened yet. But I never read it that Phil had or knew that he was going to get leaks or further information at "any minute"; he was just saying that's what typically happens and even said "you brave souls have my email" for those willing to leak any further information.
So phil has got to state the obvious and that would make everyone feel better?
I doubt it. People would then demand to know what the new info is, why it changed, what he originally heard and on and on and on. Being that he hasnt posted anything should tell you already that the info is no longer valid.
We already have a loose timeline in August as the drop date. Take a look at the Photons specs you're probably looking at the Bionic.
