Um, it's not an earnings report at all. That was back in April. This is the Bank of America Merrill Lynch Tech Conference. There will be lots of tech companies there. Here's the press release:

Add me to the doubters of actual new phone announcements other than perhaps something like, "We're bringing six new android phones to the 2011 line up." Unless, of course, if they include pictures in their presentation like they did in the above. However, I think those were already released phones, not upcoming ones.

Don't forget they've got a new wimax phone for Sprint and the Droid 3 coming out first, and Verizon's already advertising Xoom's 4g upgradeability. It'd be nice to hear something, but there are many possibilities. It would be pretty stupid for them not to say something by now though, they've waited far too long already imho.
I don't see an announcement since the bionic already was announced. However the CEO may shed some light on the timeline. Keep in mind they also have to make good in the promise to deliver 4g to folks who bought the Xoom. Not sure what they can do there if the tegra 2 no likey LTE. Moto has to answer to investors for bionic delay and delay in Xoom update to LTE. If bionic drops after tiered plans probably won't sell as well and moto knows that. So the heat is on. They have some splaining to do..
But since vzw controls the testing and approval cycle you won't get a definitive date from moto. At best we'll get "Mid Summer" or "Late Summer" hopefully not "this fall".

I'd imagine if they gathered everyone together for a keynote and the focus was put on one device some people would club Sanjay to death. Bionic is but one mobile device don't count on them talking specifically about it.
I will be 100% shocked if they do not specifically talk about the Bionic. I would bet all the money in my pocket ($1.57)it will be discussed if even only briefly. Though I'd guess that it will not leak any specifics on specs, or exact dates.

The scope of the keynote will be wide. Talking about the launch of a device would be ridiculous in my opinion. Talking about one phone on one carrier? Really? I'd want to hear where the company is going, what the future looks like for their tech (High end smartphones, mid level, tablets etc etc)

Mentioning you have X amount of high end smartphones planned by years end i get but talking about one phone launching on one carrier is odd to say the least.

I'd really like for some info here. I'm getting a bit antsy about these tiered data plans, and would like to get a new phone before they drop. Right now I'm looking at getting the Revolution, and secretly hoping that some, ANY, news will come of the fate of the Bionic before I get the Revo.
I'm sure the Revo will be a great phone for the next 2 years, but if the Bionic were to surprise us all and come out after it's too late for me to trade it in... I'll be one sad customer...

Sadly I don't think the bionic will be a breakthrough in technology or ahead of it's time and even if it was it still would not be the time or place. This is what CES is for.
These are only my opinions though. We'll find out tomorrow. I'm just not putting any stock in the keynote releasing any info about the Bionic or Photon (both major releases on their respective carriers)
