Bionic's still coming, is defintely new hardware - XT875

Sounds like Moto wouldn't change the soc in the Zoom because its a reference tablet for Google, plus I bet changing the radio would require less changes in code compared to changing the soc.

Since the Bionic is not a reference device Moto had free reign to use a different soc. My take anyway.

From what I understand the technology is VERY complex and nobody has been able to explain it correctly to date. Saying there was a hand-off issue was oversimplifying it.

The processor assists the modem and radio stack with handoffs and network transitions, etc. Tegra could not handle that, so it would overheat or reboot the device.

The Thunderbolt and Charge don't have Nvidia chips?

Oh, and thanks for the info regarding the protocol stack.

They don't have the dual-core Tegra 2 processer. The Thunderbolt uses the Snapdragon and the Charge uses the Hummingbird.

The Bionic will be for sale this month (June)?

Not a chance. Not with how much Verizon tends to delay launches.

Why can't they unlock this damn thing? :-(

Edit: I think you meant the Tab 10.1

Have we gotten any kind of confirmation about whether or not the bionic bootloader is locked/encrypted?

Negative but I wouldn't count on it being unlocked. I personally would be shocked if moto unlocked it but that doesn't mean a thing. Im sure we will find out soon enough.

Well, you can add me to the list of Storm 2 owners who have been stalking this phone since its debut at CES. Definitely ready to make the jump to Android, and making the final decision between phones has proven harder than initially anticipated. Any luck in getting an image of the 'new' Bionic?

Its up to Verizon, not Motorola.

Article says it a GSM model....interesting. I would guess its either the Photon or Bionic. Duh. right? Lol

Hell yes it is complex....

I looks like a lousy out of focus pic of a device that could be anything. One thing for sure it is a WASTE of time to look at.

Yep. All too common. It's funny that they often refer to leaked pictures as being taken by the "fuzzy cam".

We probably wont get a clear pic for at least another couple weeks. That seems to be the trend for leaked photos

Yeah why is that!!! They are either Fuzzy or Close shots of the sides or corners of the phone...

There are certain indicators on the device specific to the tester. They have to keep the images pretty unclear or they would be caught leaking

Kellex from DroidLife.com just teased us on Twitter with: "Hello DROID Bionic...". Interesting, maybe we'll see some info today!
