If I were a Motorola shareholder I'd be pissed that the company cannot launch a new product - the Droid X2 and the Droid 3 have both been launched with little fanfare.

The latest sales reports indicate Motorola is puking away market share and frankly I think they deserve it. They've done a horrible job keeping possible customers informed about the Bionic and failed to deliver a LTE phone before Verizon switched to tiered data.

Hopefully the Bionic will be a great phone and can prosper despite Motorola's failure to properly market a new product.

Remember how the iPhone was announced in advance and even had preorders and everything? You can bet the next iPhone will too. Sorry to say but Verizon sold their soul to Apple.

Honestly though, after the whole bionic-reboot a couple months back, moto has as much reason to be sheepish about putting out pressers for this thing as Verizon.

Atleast they are getting better phones. I'm OK with them not announcing it atleast we have options.

I know what you're saying, but I know two people that have TBs and they LOVE them...no random reboots, battery life decent, etc; it is a nice looking phone.

Just played with a Tbolt after a meeting tonight. It's a nifty phone... I could get used to it... and the speed. Gonna hang out for the bionic though still.

Those "Blurry Leaked Photos" of the so called Bionic with a lower lip looked like the D3 to me then, and do now. If you go by the Best Buy add, I ain't eating no crow - yet.

This looks nothing like the Droid 3 lip. What are you looking at?

They say plenty. They gave plenty warning for the Thunderbolt, X2, Charge, and Droid Incredible 2. The difference is that there hasn't been much excitement for anything except the Thunderbolt.

The reason why the iPhone has preorders is because they know they're going to sell a dump-truck full of them and it makes it a whole heckuva lot easier for their supply chain if they know the EXACT number of handsets for consumers that are going to buy the device. Of course they can't know everything, but if they can at least get hard numbers for those pre-orders, it makes their job easier. When you have a single device that will sell 2.5-3 million units in a weekend, you HAVE to do things like preorders or your logistics descend into chaos.
