No it doesn't. It has a pretty large effect. With HTC's dual core phones, they were able to calculate that had the phone had a regular WVGA resolution, their scores would be the same as with the Tegra 2 phones.
I'm a little surprised by this. Are the benchmarks "overall" scores for the phone or are they broken down into "display" scores and "general phone performance" scores? If they're broken down, the non-display scores should still be high. I thought that's why there was a GPU...to remove this burden from the main processor. Is that not the case?
