I think I will be ordering the Charge too. Does the Charge have a good modding community and can I somehow remove Touchwiz or at least the look of it? Is or will it be supported by Cyanogenmod, which I keep hearing only good stuff about.

Quick update: Still don't have a date. (Booooo.) But it sounds like VZW's expecting this one to be big (must have been keeping an eye on all you guys here in the forums, lol). Phone's in production now, with a quarter-million on order. California alone is getting 75,000. Should be out before VZW's Galaxy Tab 10.1, whenever that is.
Wait wait wait, before you disapear for another few weeks can i just get your opinon on this?
Your saying its in production already? If so, how likely is it for a company to start production already but release the phone 3 months later? Cause thats what people are saying right now. Mid August.

Also im not sure about Galaxy Tab for VZW but im hearing the Galaxy tab (not sure if it Wifi one) will be coming out end of June. WTF this is all so confusing.
Dammm man if this is true, i get the feeling BMX and Winrusell are verizon puppets to tell us its 3 months away, but really only 1 month away to get people to buy their other phones now. ie the charge and thunderbolt.

I don't want to bash anyone, but some people are very impatient. You wait x months for a phone and hear that it might be out 3 months from now and for some reason can no longer wait. I don't get it, but that might just be me.
For me right now there are only 2 phones I would buy. The Bionic or SII.

That falls in line with my claim earlier in this thread. My Moto rep said the end of June. I trust him too, cause he has been really accurate in the past. Hopefully I will get my hands on his test unit when he gets it. If so, you guys will be the first to know.

Unless their planning on using 1/16 of their production capabilities their is no way in Dante's Hell that this phone will come in three months.

It would be a first, but hell I suppose I'll be the optimistic one and say that there's a first time for everything!! Maybe verizon is actually misleading them, they are their main leak lines right?
Ah damn, really? If all three of the trusted leakers said late August, how could it suddenly come out next month?? Maybe my arguments finally got through to VZW, right after I made my decision, haha. They must have realized that the Bionic won't even be relevant if they wait till August, and successfully hid it from everyone. Then again, just because they put it in production now doesn't mean they won't sit on them until August. Sure, it'd be a huge mistake, as I've so vocally stated in this thread, but maybe they simply don't care. Still, guess its worth waiting a few more days.
Phil, any way you can give us some info as to how you know this? Or if we'll be seeing some specs or inventory leaks this next week? Gah, this is killing me.
Oxn, I'll tell you what I'm gonna do. If the Charge is cheap enough on Amazon come Monday, I'm grabbing it. Otherwise, I'll do my best to wait out the week to see what else crops up for the Bionic. I'm going on vacation the second week in June, and have decided I'll have a new phone by then. I'll wait as long as I can, then I'll pick up a Charge at Best Buy Mobile at some point before I leave. That way I'll have a full month to see if the Bionic is around the corner. If it comes out in that month, or I get a definite release date, I'll be able to take the Charge back. That way I'll get to enjoy the Charge now, and if this doesn't drop in another month or so, I'm honestly not interested.
I hate being so wishy-washy, but we've been kept so in the dark about this its ridiculous. But again, maybe I was right and Moto kept this under wraps until it was ready, and now it is. It would be foolish for them not to release this ASAP, but maybe they are fools, we shall see.
But come on Moto, tell me something real soon, I've already ordered a case and screen protector for a Charge...

I know right, right when we both finally settled down, Phil drops this bomb that may or may not be real. This is the life we live.
I as well, cheap Charge on Monday, and im all over it. This doesnt really change too much.
wnrusell works for moto and is on these projects. He is an actual source not an intermediary (sp?) People fail to understand he doesn't get second hand info he is the info

Yeah, I was actually starting to hope it wouldn't come out till August. Though like CK says, those who should know still stick to that. Production doesn't necessarily mean launch is imminent. I'm still thinking August until I hear more info, though it is worth waiting a bit longer IF there isn't a compelling reason to buy the Charge. If I see a good enough price on Monday, its mine.
BMX has already told me I won't be disappointed with the Charge, and I'm really liking it, so I know I wouldn't regret it too much even if the Bionic did drop sooner than expected.
Phil, I don't expect you to reveal your source, that's the cardinal rule of journalism!
I was just wondering if you were able to get more specific, but I totally understand if you can't. I know it can get a little hectic in here, for that I apologize, just know that we definitely appreciate what info you get that you are able to share with us, and eagerly await the next tidbit! We can just get a little crazy when a company has been leading us on for four months now...

and thats the truth.. I have never been accused of being a puppet.. hell I advise people to buy the damn G2x, Iphone and Evo3D over 80% of the devices Vzw carries...
hell if you want a cheap low end smartphone as long as it has a data plan and 2 year agreement that is ALL a carrier cares for.. in fact the less data you use the more they like it.. heck we still charge for text msg.. and we all know the truth about that "service".
If moto building that many then perhaps they have it ready.. or getting a push to get it ready..
and after all this hype and there still will be "another" thats just a lil better.... LTE or not...

^^ this man speaks much wisdom. Once I can, ill be getting the best device my money can buy. If amazon is freeballin monday I may be the proud new owner of a tb or revolution. (just don't like the look of the charge and Sammie's track record)
