Bionic's still coming, is defintely new hardware - XT875

well i'm bored so i'll eat and listen to it. I have noticed since the webcast started, the DROID bionic "coming soon" is now gone from the bottom right little button bar...maybe that might be mean something lol?

Can you put a link to the webcast please?

What I'm hearing from Sanjay is, 4G device delays were due to "protocol stack" issues and to look for resolutions in the 2nd half. Tiered data for sure and possibly in 2nd half?
August 1st is the start of the 2nd half folks

Uh... Live webcast is now over, i didnt hear anything interesting. Am i missing something?

Guess so...this webcast is now over...on demand archive will be available soon.

It's still weird though that the "droid bionic coming soon " is gone from their website though.

Actually, July 1st is the start of second half.
Plus, with no carriers present, I didn't expect them to announce a flagship device.

So does Oxn owe us an Apology? It's done, but I didn't listen to the whole thing.

I got the impression from OXN that it wouldn't necessarily be during that presentation that all would be revealed. Maybe some other announcement today???

Listened to the whole webcast. Not one mention of the Bionic, although Sanjay was asked about delays, attributing it to problems with "stacks" He did not mention Nvidia or TI, or anyone else. He said he had backup plans for semi-conductor failures. I do remember him mentioning something about 2nd half of the year during this line of questioning. All in all, there was no mention of the word Bionic, its release date, or anything.

I can't believe that that is the ONLY question that matters to some people...data is what it is...I want the darn phone to come out. Good, LTE phones on verizon that work properly, that will do both voice and data at the same time, that is more important than whether my data plan costs $10 more a month; EVERYTHING goes up in price. For many people, the cost of the tiered plan will drop...

I won't say it's the only thing that matters to me because it's not - but my problem is that I do not have the luxury of having a Wireless network accessible at work. Rather, I do, but I know very well the kind of security restrictions we're running (I help maintain them after all) and the amount of filtering and logging that is being done on everyone's Internet access. I don't access porn sites at work, no, but the last thing I want under my wing is breaching policies my position requires me to force onto others. What's left? A 0-1 bar 3G reception on my Eris, tethered to an encrypted Virtual Machine for checking amongst other things... this very forum :p

Plus, I think I already pay too much for wireless service, being on a family plan and being hit with so many hidden fees - 9,99 per line my ass. If I can avoid paying that extra $10 to keep my unlimited bandwidth, I'll do it at all costs.

Second half begins July 1st.

I missed the first 10 mins. when it sounded like Sanjay was presenting. Did anyone catch his presentation or did the stream just start with Q&A? I heard him reference remarks he made in the presentation about the "two 4G devices" that were delayed while answering that question you're pulling from above.

If it started with Q&A, we ought to look for the archive and presentation slides on Moto's website in about 3 hours.

You can replay the whole thing again now or at least I was able to. I did notice him talking about two 4g devices. Maybe the Xoom?

They are replaying the webcast now.

I am pretty sure I heard they would have a 4g LTE device in summer.

No, it started with him speaking and he kept referring to questions as if he possibly had a list of questions. He would make comments and then say, "I believe the next question is" and comment on it.

Then when it was opened to the floor a guy asked about 4G device delays and how he would address or prevent future delays. Sanjay said some of the cause was "protocol stack" issues. And he will have backup plans prepared next time.
