Blueant Q2 headset and my Evo

From what I understand the update/upgrade will work on Win 7 32bit but NOT Win 7 64bit. Blueant is working on this and there should be a fix in a few weeks.

I've had the q1 since last May.... I have had a Windows 7 64 bit laptop since last year (when released)....

BLUEANT ALWAYS SAYS THE UPDATE WILL BE RELEASED SOON.

I've been told a few weeks for almost a year.... i just go to an old laptop i have with xp to make due.

Have you tried the T1? Just want a point of reference.

Most reviews on it say it was steps above the Q1 in sound clarity........

I suspect the sound quality is the same as they use the same technology. What you are losing would be the voice command features. I believe that is the real difference. If you don't want or care about those then I would go with the T1.

The Q1x is now like $35 on Newegg right now. I considered it, but I don't want a headset that blinks all the time. Got the Jabra Extreme instead.

You can turn the LED light off but it is not really convenient and you have to do it each time it is powered on as it won't save the setting.

Completely wrong..

I have had the T1, and now have the Q2, and the difference is night and day..

the T1 breaks up when you walk around with it while listening to music
the Q2 does NOT

The T1 has nice sound during phone calls
The Q2 sounds like a LAND LINE!

The Q2 has Bing 411, which is very cool; totally interactive,and does things like text you directions to a business from where you are, movie listings of any theater around you, stock quotes, and alot more..I know its kinda gimmicky, but, it is pretty amazing when you play with it awhile.

Bottom line is the Q2 is FAR AND AWAY superior to the T1...its 99 bucks if you order it from Blueant, using the code:

Easy fix. Turn on the headset and say "settings menu". After it tells you the options, say "LED light". It will tell you the led light is on and ask if you want to turn it off. Say "Yes".

Problem solved.

I would rather use GOOG411 on my Q1, anybody know of a way to change it? I can't get Google to call me so I can't add it to the Speeddial list anyway.

i know there used to be a way of changing the directory entries on a Q1, but, its been awhile, and I dont remember
I believe you have to make it one of your "speed dials", or, what ever term they use for the location favorites..can't you just make it one of your speed dials?
I think Goog411 dials a 1-888#

As far as I know, the only way to add a speed-dial it to volume up on a number after they have called you. A little limiting.

OK, you guys sold me. Taking the Jabra Extreme back to Best Buy and ordered the Q2 off the website using the code "colony." I drive a Mini Convertible, and it would be great to be able to use it with the top down... I've not found a headset that will work so far doing that.
