Bluetooth issues

I have yet to have BT issues in the first month I've had my P2XL (knock on wood). I've been able to use BT earplugs without issue (Bragi The Headphones for anyone curious), and have been able to make calls and listen to music with my car's BT feature (2013 Kia Optima SX).

I have a 2015 Cadillac XTS with the CUE Bose System. Here is the issue:

1. I start the car. The car initializes and connect to Bluetooth.

2. Tidal doesn't auto-play. (No problem here but would be nice.)

3. I play a track. All is well.

4. I'm riding with one hand and leaning now. Then it's time for track 2 (next track). No sound.

I look at the phone, Tidal is streaming but no sound.

5. On my phone, I have to pause then press play to hear the music. Or on the Caddy screen, press play, then pause, then play again.

On another tip: I have no problems with any other Bluetooth devices (portable speaker, headphone, etc.), just the ride.

My package: Pixel 2 XL, latest Tidal app, and latest CUE for '15 XTS Platinum.

Exact problem I had. So disapponted because I LOVED the camera. I had to return it tonight because I was on day 13 of my return period.

On another note I have a Spigen thin case and 2 screen protectors (never used) if anyone wants to make an offer.

I have an ELM327 OBD2 bluetooth adapter that paired fine with my Samsung S8+ but won't pair with the Pixel 2 XL... I have attempted re-pairing, enabling/disabling Bluetooth many times to no avail.

Any suggestions?

Similar situation here. My car stereo pairs/works fine with both an iP7+ and OG Pixel XL but keeps giving me a "Failed" error when trying pair with the 2XL. I'm past my return window is this a warranty exchange-able issue?

My Pixel 2 bluetooth just stops working periodically. If I turn it off and back on, then no problem everything's fine....for a while. Extremely annoying, but I'm way past the return period.

I feel like they should swap it out regardless. I'm on my way out of the country but I plan on giving them a call when I return.

You have a two year warranty and Google CS is known to be pretty damn good. Use it.

My Mazda CX-5 had similar issues. While watching the screen it would fail when loading contacts so I Fixed it by turning off Contacts and Text sync in the phone Bluetooth paring options. Works perfect and even connects faster. O if I get a call the car still displays who it is even without syncing

I'm in the same boat as you guys I guess. I bought a cheap Bluetooth dongle from Best Buy. Had no problems pairing to my recently purchased Pixel 2, but it won't play music from my Google Play library. Plays Pandora, podcasts, other phone audio no problem but not music from my library. Very frustrating. Hope they fix it because I just switched from iPhone and overall am very happy with the phone and the move to Android.

What sort of phone has these basic BT issues in 2017? The Pixel of course. My original Pixel XL same thing and I finally ditched it. Back to the reliable boring iPhone. I wish google would fix it so I could come back!!

Pixel 2 XL 128
Bluetooth works perfectly here.
Paired with Sony WH-1000XM2 headset
Paired with Dell XPS 15 9560 laptop
Paired with Garmin Nuvi auto GPS
Paired with HP LaserJet Pro M402dw printer

I have a Pixel 2 XL with similar bluetooth issues in my car. I have a 2015 Terrain and I can connect my phone fine and play music but the minute I receive any notification the music mutes itself. I have to his Play/Pause twice to get the music going. I'm not a software engineer but if your going to remove audio components like a headphone jack you should get the bluetooth working pretty good.

Least I have till 1/15 to return it since Verizon still has their extended return policy. Will wait till then to see if it changes. Using my old phone as a bluetooth player in my car at the moment which is really dumb.

I was experiencing a similar issue after switching from iPhone to Pixel 2. I could play music from my previous iTunes library on my phone but it wouldn't play through my Bluetooth speaker. Streaming apps like Pandora played just fine. I logged into my Play account on my PC and plugged my Pixel 2 in, and then I followed the instructions to upload music from my PC's music library (where I'd stored all my iTunes music). It's working just fine now and all the songs that have made their way to my Play library play on my Bluetooth devices.

Yeah I'm having issues with Bluetooth also, some devices I was able to connect with my Samsung s6 don't show up on my Pixel. Very frustrating! Are there any fixes? Or do we have to wait for an update?

I came from an iPhone transferred my music over... Have used Android phones many times set Player Pro back up and in my car I get nothing. When I tried Google music nothing, but here is the thing. When I listen to podcasts on Google music or used Spotify it worked....what am I doing wrong? Thanks!

Hey! I'm considering switching from the Iphone 6s to the Pixel 2, do you have a link to how i would transfer my music over??? Thanks!

I have had dropping connectivity/Bluetooth issues in my car with my Pixel 2 XL since I got it in December. Calls frequently get dropped mid conversation and callers get sent to voicemail when I'm in the car and not on the phone.
When it drops the caller mid conversation, my phone screen still looks like the call is active even as the call is disconnected.
I actually really like this phone overall but this issue is REALLY annoying.

I can hear music in my car, but do not see track information on the car screen. 2014 Camry. Also, if I use steering wheel controls to change track, music sometimes stops and I have to disable/enable Bluetooth to make it work again. My previous phone (iPhone 7) worked with zero issues.

I have similar problems in my 2017 Toyota Highlander. Similar problems using a Bluetooth FM transmitter on my other car.

Is anyone still having the "skipping" issues? Every time my P2XL auto-connects to my car, all audio skips unless I turn kill the BT connection and reconnect then it's fine. Not app specific.

Mine does that. It stops after about 30 seconds to a minute. I think it is when the car is downloading the phonebook information. After the initial skips, it is smooth sailing.
