Broke my tab - need some help

I have broken my Tab

I have a GT-P1000 and I'm in Australia and my carrier is Vodafone

I have been searching trying to find the steps on how to restore my phone but everytime I try load firmware onto my phone in Odin it fails

I know I am doing something wrong

Can someone please help me ?

did you try and install a mod rom or was it a update from vodafone? I would check on samsungs website for the way to restore it. You could try a long power hold and see if that might clear out any data that might be holding it up from installing.

try this

Press and hold the “Volume Up” and “Power” buttons at the same time, when logo appears on the screen release the “Power or home” button and continue press the “Volume” button
When recovery screen appears use “Volume Up/Down” buttons to navigate and select “wipe data / Factory reset” by pressing the “Home” or “Power” button (Depends on Galaxy Tab model).
