I used Secure Message to request that they implement Google's more recent Camera API as I prefer to have a paper trail when dealing customer service departments.

I also changed my Google Play Store review to 1star with an explanation of why.

Did they ever respond to you, eaccentsac?

I wish I had found this thread before I bought my 5x, because this problem is so annoying I'm seriously considering returning the phone in the few days I have left under Amazon's return policy. I don't think it should be up to me to contact my bank to ask them to fix this...it's a pretty small local bank...I'll try. I also don't like that there is no manual available for the Nexus 5x....and I think maybe I just don't like this phone. I've had trouble answering calls...by the time I can get to the phone screen the caller has given up...and the fingerprint scanner works well about 75% of the time.

I'm seriously thinking of trying the Moto X or even going backwards to an LG G3. I miss having a removable battery, as I always carried a spare battery for my old phones.

Any advice would be appreciated.

By the time you get to the phone screen? Isn't the phone screen ON TOP when the phone is ringing?

A small local bank may not have the resources to keep up with current APIs....

For everything you need to know about the 5X (including user how-to's), you can start on the LG website here

Fingerprint scanner should have a better success rate than 75%....wondering if between your phone screen comment and the low success rate on the fingerprint scanner if you have a bum device?
