Your phone/software is defective. I enabled the developer touch console and the entire screen is working including that corner. Seems muli touch is NOT a bug on mine.

Hmmm. Mine does that and I've never installed any of the games. I've never even noticed it before running the touch testing app though.

1) Very weak vibrate, would be good to have some basic customization possible natively as to how long and how many buzzes to vibrate.

2) Some lag here and there between app launcher and back to home screen

3) Weird thing where on websites it shows the text or some of the text as bold for a split second and then goes to normal.

4) Not so smooth scrolling around on web browser

5) Feel like I have to hit the soft keys harder than the rest of the screen to get them to respond. The worst is the three little dots in the lower right corner, I have to mash my thumb down flat, can't use just the edge of my thumb. Space bar also seems to need too much pressure a lot of times resulting in spaces not being made. Is there a screen sensitivity setting somewhere?

6) I sometimes accidentally hit the home soft key when I am going for the space bar. Maybe they could increase the delay between the last keyboard button press before it registers a home soft key press?

7) Good for Enterprise app if I sync my corporate contacts to the People app it worked okay for a bit then anytime I went to people or phone app it forced closed until I unchecked sync corporate contacts and is now back to normal.

8) Notification light is hit or miss on when it comes on and for how long, would also like to see a little more native customization possible for flash speed and color, etc.

9) Sometimes the notification shade seems difficult to pull down (doesn't register touch well at the very top of the screen)

10) Task manager seems laggy and sometimes slow to respond to soft key press

11) Signal issue like everyone else has mentioned, seems like way too low of signal compared to previous iphone in same spots, too many losses of data which I think just kills my battery during the day.

12) Lock timer doesn't work, 90% of time will look for face or pattern to unlock when I had just locked the screen for 30 seconds.

Just a couple thoughts to some "bugs"

- the notification light only works with the screen off, yes its slow and boring. Use light flow to set colors, speed and custom vibrate patterns.

- notification volume is pathetic. Use volume+ and all is well

- the issue everyone seems to have with the lock timer i dont see. What i found was if you let your phone go to sleep then the timer works great. If YOU put the phone to sleep (hit the power button) it locks right away, by design.

- Screen is wonderful, especially with a black background.

- Dont believe the bars.check the signal stremgth. mine is a bit lower but have not dropped any calls.

- And people, this is a developer phone with a first release os. Most of us who bought this should have known this and expect some quirks and quick updates. I love this phone and cant wait to see where the coming updates take us...

ps, swype better get their butts moving on getting our resolution to work. I miss my swype...

I already feel like an idiot - now I'll look like one as well, but ...
How do you enter a line break from the keyboard? Can't find a <CR> key?

Anyone else see a problem like the screens below? I can fix it by doing a batt pull, but it sure gets annoying.

The stock keyboard changes with each application.

ie. messaging. No enter, replaced with smiley
G search replaced with search icon
gmail, its there
browser, go button
etc...

Where are you having issues?

In messaging - unfortunate, I like to set some text on it's on, separate line
(like a link) rather than inline. Maybe I should try another keyboard app.

Speaking of messaging, I seemed to have lost some?
I know it shows the last text of a 'conversation' by default and you can
open the entire conversation - is there a way to simply show all stored
texts in a list?

If you change keyboards you can get that carriage return effect.

Your text message thing sounds messy and i dont think thats possible with the native app and i havent seen that in Handcent either... dont now what to tell you there

Problem entering conference call passcode while using Speakerphon

I have daily conference calls for business and when entering the passcode for the call while on Speaker it fails, telling me I have entered the wrong code (doubles up on digits) even though the # shows up correctly on the dialer. If I take the phone off of speaker the code is accepted. I have duplicated this multiple times. Anyone else have this issue? Any thoughts?

That can happen when the speaker for the speaker phone is too close to the microphone (which is why manufacturers don't usually put the speaker all the way down there). The mic is picking up the tone from the speaker, and the phone system interprets it as an additional button press. Dunno how you could work around that other than turning off speakerphone or covering the mic. :-\

For my case, Juice Defender seems to work perfect. I am on 17hr 42min so far, and I still have 59% of battery. On-screen time is just about 30min. Basically, minimal usage. However, at this pace, mine may reach 36hr, if lucky.
Big fan of JD here as well. but have you noticed that in ICS that K-9 mail does not sync, ever, if JD is on?. I have both JD and K-9 set for 1 hour intervals.
I may give MailDroid a try to see if it will do any better.

Notification sounds and vibrations while recording video. Nothing during phone calls. I would prefer a beep or something subtle during a call and nothing while recording video.

Screen rotation from portrait to landscape and back is unacceptably slow. They borrowed the nice screen rotation animation from webOS but in webOS, it was much, much more responsive and quick.

GNex and ICS impressions

I picked up the Gnex on Saturday from Verizon. I really like the phone so far, but it's not without its faults.

1. Battery life is terrible compared to my Droid X. I keep my phone in standby much of the time and it still sucks power. I keep it in wifi when I am at home or work and then in 3G on the road so it doesn't keep flip flopping between CDMA and LTE. Any battery management tips would be appreciated.

2. Brightness auto adjustment does not work very well-The phone is constantly too dark with this option checked, and does not seem to change its level when the lighting level changes.

3. Volume is too low, even at maximum volume. I am not talking about phone calls, but rather, I mean audio output to my Bluetooth speaker. Even when it's cranked, it's not very loud. Are there any apps that can boost this?

4. Sometimes the search function in Amazon MP3 gets stuck and I cannot enter any text even after pressing Search.

5. Got constant FCs with Go Contacts EX and had to uninstall because it's not ICS compatible.

6. ICS notification bar is really dark. I wish there was a way to change this color scheme. If there is one, please let me know.

7. Antenna or radio-Does not indicate a signal even when there is one. Sometimes disappears altogether. Or is this a case of, "We are reporting the real results of your signal, vs. the fake signal strength you saw on your DX."

ICS is a nice version of the OS. I am very happy with the changes, save for the notification bar colors.

Phone calls are clear as a bell for me.

Bluetooth works extremely well with this phone. I haven't had many issues with this, other than when an email comes in while music is playing. The volume goes down temporarily. This may be an issue for other phones and not particular to this model.

1. Compared with DX, pretty much any LTE phone would look bad, unfortunately. It's the nature of LTE.....

2. I believe there were a few apps which further control brightness. I, personally, don't have issue with it.

3. Try Volume+.

4&5. Maybe the compatibility issue of apps?

6. Once you root, some custom roms would have different colored notification bar.

7. This also has been happening to me. Probably a minor bug, I guess.

Sorry that I am not using K-9 mail. I am using the stock mail app for my exchange email account, and it seems to work fine so far.

I downloaded a NY Jets wallpaper that was uploaded here. It was really nice but I missed having a live wallpaper so I went back to that. I use Handcent and after deleting the old Jets wallpaper, it somehow still displays the Jets wallpaper over the Handcent popup lock screen (the popup screen that is displayed when I go to look at my messages after my screen has been off). I looked through the popup settings through Handcent but didn't see an option where there could be an alternative lock screen picture. I don't know if it's a glitch with Handcent or ICS. Any help would be appreciated.

Also, I live about ~20 miles from the nearest 4G signal. Since I'm in a 3G-only area, should I keep my preferred network at LTE/CDMA, or should I select CDMA-only? Since I'm not in a 4G area, if I keep my preferred network as LTE/CDMA, will it keep looking for an LTE signal and thus, drain the battery?

Re: GNex and ICS impressions

Thanks. I picked up Juice Defender and Volume+ today and they are making a difference. Have had the phone on since 5AM and it's still at 55 percent for power. Will try rooting once I feel more confident that I won't mess it up.
