Sorry, was refreshing the previous page not realizing you were waiting for me on the next page. OK on your phone, hit the gray "turn off" usb bar below the orange droid, disconnect usb cable from phone, hold down volume up, volume down, and power buttons until samsung logo flashes for the second time, let go of all three buttons. let me know if the writing on your screen is blue or red.

hit volume down button once so apply sdcard:update.zip is highlighted, hit home soft key. this will take you into red clockworkmod recovery (cwm). hit volume down button to wipe cache partition, hit power button. this will bring you to a confirmation screen with a bunch of nos and one yes - wipe cache. hit volume up (you could hit volume down too, but this way you are clicking a button fewer times) until yes is highlighted and hit power button. When that is done you will be back at the menu, hit volume up twice so advanced is highlighted, hit power button, hit volume down twice so wipe dalvik cache is highlighted, hit volume button, confirm by hitting yes once again. When that is done hit menu soft key once, scroll down (down volume key) to install zip from sd card, hit power button, scroll down one to choose zip from sd card, hit power button, find the super_clean_2_4nv.zip file, highlight it and hit the power button. WAIT. You will see some funky blue lettering on your screen, but don't worry. When a red menu pops back up on your screen hit the menu soft button until you are at the main red cwm menu (reboot system now will be at the top of the page and will be highlighted) hit the power button and wait for your phone to reboot. CONGRATULATIONS you just successfully flashed a ROM in clockworkmod recovery

That's it. That's how easy it is to flash anything in clockworkmod. Download what you want to the sd card, reboot into recovery, install, reboot, viola!

Now there is a way you can download the latest red clockworkmod recovery, and avoid the step of going to stock blue recovery and hitting apply sdcard:update.zip in order to get to red cwm. It's a new method pioneered by a brilliant man, oh where is that link. Oh yes here it is :

I'll be right there with you because I'm having a problem flashing the Blackish Storm theme so I'm trying to figure out where the hangup is coming from. Glad you were able to get to superclean 2.4. Just be careful, flashing things through cwm can get addicting

It's a combination of a couple of how-to's. There's a lot of other good reading here also that will help you understand what it is you are doing. For now you've got more than enough knowledge to do what you want. When you want to learn some more, let me know and I'll give you some more good threads to learn more. The more knowledgeable the members become, the better these forums will be.

u know the funny thing is I think I checked out most of the links except for that one. And I agree, the more knowledgeable the members, the greater the quality of the forum.

Do you have any suggestions or know of the best program to utilize the wifi 3g modem capabilities of the fascinate without verizon's charges?

No, sorry. I remember reading that problem should be solved once Adrynalyne and the other developers get their hands on the original source code for EB01 and are able to put out some custom kernels.
