Charging and using NFC as trusted device

A

AC Question

Ok, so I have my S8+ on a Samsung wireless charger, and mainly use the Iris scan to unlock, and it's a pain to use the fingerprint scanner (also with clear view case). All good so far. I have it setup to not automatically lock for 5 minutes.

After the 5 mins are up, then checking my phone on the wireless charger involves either typing my code or using the iris scanner. The iris scanner is annoying as on a desk you have to normally move around a little until it's perfect.

So I thought the ideal solution would be to use a NFC tag to unlock the phone. Nice. Works great, so I stuck it (it's a sticker) to the wireless charger. The phone still charges, so top marks all round. However, now it's attached to the wireless charger it no longer unlocks automatically. Bit annoying.

So any way around this? Don't really want to use a Bluetooth device all the time, and still waiting on trusted wifi.

Cheers
