Hello all, I ran quick searches for SD Card, SD Card problems, SD Card Issues, CHMOD, CHMOD Help and I am drawing a blank on what I may do to fix the following problem.
I am just getting myself into working with the console on CM7 7.1.0-rc1.8 Thunderbolt-KANG.
Out of nowhere this week my SD card stopped letting android programs (some) see things on my SD Card: MP3's used for notifications/ring-tones/alarms and to be played via the music.apk (stock one that comes with this rom) have stopped recognizing anything from the SD Card. Same with my gallery.apk (stock apk for this rom) it will no longer load up any pics or vids from the SD Card (will show me my G+ uploads from the past).
-So I tried formatting the SD Card and reloading pertinent info, did not work.
-I tried running chmod:
$ su
# chmod 777 /sdcard (I know I should not leave it as 777 for security purposes, but I was testing to see if this would work for me).
rebooted, and then for a few hours I was able to access everything I just mentioned. After the few hours passed, boom I could not access the SD card through any .apk installed (ringdroid: nope, Alarm:nope. ACT1: nope etc.)
Does anyone have any clue as to what I may try to get this problem remedied?
