OK, I havn't dropped mine, nor have I come close to it. I've always had crappy phones that I don't care about. This being my first phone purchase that I've actually researched and put effort into. That being said, now that I have the phone I don't take it to many places. I love this phone, so for fear of dropping it, it basically stays home most of the time. I need a case so I can actually use it. On a side note, if you don't use it that much, you have no problem with battery life!

I never bought a case for 2 reasosn. 1. I rarely, if ever, drop my phone. 2. I dont like the cases that were available, as I keep my phone in my pocket, and I dont like the grabby nature of silicone.

I was at a Detroit Tigers game earlier this summer. I was trying to get some work done between innings, and someone passing through bumped my arm just right to make my phone jump out of my hands and to the concrete below. I was in an isle seat, and it hit the ground just right, sending it doing cartwheels down the concrete stairway. I was standing there, watching in horror, as my phone hit the landing and exploded. I did get an "ooooooooooooh" from the section.

Needless to say, Verizon didnt seem to believe my story of spontaneous explosion.

Case please?

Short and to the point.....mr. Phil please, be gracious again and help me protect my droid incredible. You did it once with my eris now I ask for the incredible. Thank you

I put my phone on my knee while putting more nicotine juice in my electronic cigarette and my friend's dog jumped up to lick my face. He knocked the phone off my knee and on to the concrete patio. there was no major damage, but the bottom right corner of the phone is scratched ever so slightly.

Watch the rug rats around your phone!

Couple of weeks ago I was charging my Droid Incredible in my bedroom. My youngest son (2 years old) apparently went into the bedroom without me or the wife knowing. I heard a thud, and he came out carrying my phone in his hand. He had ripped it off the charging cable and dropped it on the floor!:eek: And then brought it to Daddy to show him! Luckily it did not have any scratches or damage. But I wouldn't count on that always happening. So I definitely could use a case for it! :-)

I stay petty active and fell in love with the cardio trainer app. Had my DInc in my standard belt case while running in the Special Olympics Torch Run with cardio trainer tracking my every step. The standard belt case unclipped from my shorts and fell in the roadway. Risking life and limb to save my DInc I dove onto the pavement to retrieve my lost treasure just inches away from the state police cruiser that was following behind us for our safety. My fellow runners couldn't understand why I did what I did but I know that all you DInc'ers do. Luckily both my DInc and I escaped unscathed. Time to find a more protective skin!

It's always happens at the same place. Someone mentions that they're looking for a new cell phone and I nearly drop mobe trying to whip it out of my pocket. I get too excited. One of these times... I may not catch it. I need a case and would love to show off the Active case from Sendo.

Just had a recent trip to Cape cod with the kids. I wear the old navy carpenter pants and keep the phone in that side leg pocket. As I pulled the my Dinc out with 1 hand, holding the baby in my other arm, the phone slid off the tips of my fingers and flew threw the air. Thankfully it landed in the grass strip between the sidewalk and street. I did this with my old blackberry before on the street. Need that case, (or start using another pocket!

Last summer I was sitting on the steps of a pool with my daughter (2 years old at the time) snapping some pictures of us having a good ol' fashion family fun. I leaned back to get a better angle of her splashing when she slipped down a step...not far enough to go under, but enough to make me snap into protective-daddy mode. Needless to say the phone was dropped in favor of keeping her above water. Unfortunately no amount of case would have been able to save it...it stayed at the bottom of the pool for about a half an hour.

I'm an emergency room resident in one of the busiest ER's in the Northeast tristate area. I am constantly running from bed to bed, patient to patient, injury to injury . . . All while trying to keep my INC from being splashed with blood, pus, TB, MRSA and God knows what else. Personally, I love it. But it's really not fair to my naked Droid. She sits on my hip (or in my free hand) risking her life, all for the greater good of my patients!

I was playing basketball with my incredible in my pocket....dumb move....I did a jump hook and it went flying landing on pavement then grass. Now I have some nicks that wouldn't be there if I had a case :(

I had a sack of groceries in one hand and my Incredible in the other coming out of the grocery store. Of course I used my Incredible hand to open the hatch on my vehicle to put the groceries in and it slipped out and fell on the paved parking lot. Luckily I had a screen protector on it 'cause it would have most likely chipped/cracked my screen...there's a rip in the screen protector now. The body of my phone didn't fare so well. There's about 6 or 7 different places on it with a bunch of ding marks. The screen is the main thing, but it sure would be nice if the body of my phone wasn't so scarred.

Droid Inc. vs Concrete

I love my Incredible. On a recent road trip to Tennessee I was able to use it to navigate to and from our destination all while listening to Pandora or watching the world cup via Vcast. I took some beautiful pictures of the mountains and my family having a good time. I even asked my cousin to take video of me jumping off a 30ft cliff into the Pigeon Forge River. It was the only cell phone of the four we had available that would consistently get a signal. After returning home from a long 12 hour drive we decided to pickup a pizza and bring it home for dinner. As we were getting out of the car my wife grabbed my phone and for some reason unknown to me she placed it on top of the pizza box. All I remember hearing was a nice THWACK against the concrete garage floor. I thought she had dropped the 1 liter soda she had also decided to carry but no, it was My Incredible. I couldn?t believe my eyes, the beautiful screen was shattered into tiny little pieces?? but if I would have had a case the ending to my vacation would have been a happy one. :(

I think the guy that dropped his Dinc in the bonfire deserves a new case. :p
I would like one, but that would require having a device to put it on which I'm still awaiting........:(

My near death experience involves alcohol, do I win?

Anyway I was at a party at an old farm house, lame I know but I live in Ohio and it seems everyone around me has a best friend that's a cow. We enjoying some beverages, (not the koolaid from Jobs that my friends apparently have been drinking). So me and my friend get a little out of hand......so we go looking for phone service so he can call his girlfriend...some places in Ohio are pretty sketchy. My friend has the great idea to climb a up a barn loft....because drunk people love heights for some reason. Anyway I decide I WILL die if I try to go up there so I stay down, my friend yells out the window that he has one bar going in and out....he has an iPhone hence ATT sucky network so I yell ATT sucks! I bet I would get service up there, here use my phone......I then proceeded to throw my incredible up to him, as u can probably guess he didn't catch it......I found my phone in the morning under a mower.....the back of it and the battery were like 5 feet away....the back cracked and the camera on my phones lens was smashed and fell out and the red ring was smashed in on one side, I bought a new back on eBay then took it into Verizon for a software problem ;) and after a struggle they sent me a refurbished :D......I can't say whether it would've faired better with a case or not but with my active lifestyle I think I deserve the innocase active I have been looking at it for a little while now and think the 2 parts are genius .....

Constant Danger

I have a 1 year old, a 3 year old, and a dog. My phone is consistently threatened. It is a continuos chess match to keep the phone useful yet out of reach of all of the paws.

After a call in my car I placed the phone in my lap. of course I forgot when I got out and it went skidding screen first across the parking lot after a 3 foot fall. The metal on the top corner is dinged and the screen has some fine scratches but none worse for the wear.

My 3 year old put mine in the sink and unknowingly it slide into the garbage disposal. Couldn't find my phone until my wife turned the disposal on. Found it.

High nothing too crazy here. I just had my phone in my lap while driving. I got out in a hurry when I got home and my incredible crashed on the blacktop. It still works fine but I now have a small chunk missing from the bottom corner. Bummer man, I wish I had a case on it!
Droid!

No horror story yet (Knock on Wood) but would like one to prevent that traumatic event from ever happening to me :)
