As requested by Soundemonchan I have gathered up all the files for the CosmicExperia and here they are.

DO NOT INSTALL THIS IF YOU HAVE UPGRADED TO GINGERBREAD FROM LG IT SEEMS TO BRICK THE PHONE IF YOUR ON THE NEW BASEBAND

You will need to install them in the order listed or the phone will have kittens. Also you must do a factory wipe and clear all the caches from inside of CWM in most cases. This ROM is a .32 kernel using the old baseband. It will also have and ICS looking theme which is pretty nice.

4shared folder - My 4shared

Install them in the following order

CosmIcEXperia_v3.5.zip

Joban-2.08-Kernel.zip

TransformationPack_v1.1.zip

Then reboot and let the phone do its thing. When it finally comes back up to a working phone shut it down and boot into CWM.

ICS Status Bar Patch for v3.5.zip

Reboot again then back into CWM

Gapps1.22.2012.zip (if you want googles stuff like gmail and contacts)

Please note the transformation pack should not be required but it does make the phone look way better.

Some People are having issues with this ROM the solution if it doesnt work for you is to install each file and reboot in between

Thanks so much for this donavan.

So far, I have booted into recovery and factory wiped then cache wiped my phone. I then installed cosmic experia then joban's kernel then the transformation pack. I then chose the reboot option in recovery. The phone rebooted and started loading. First an LG logo screen, then a spinning android bot with android on the screen, then a count down from like 8 to 1, then back to the android screen with no spinning. It has been sitting on this screen for about 10 minutes. How long is it supposed to take to actually boot up?

It takes a while the first time through ... those instructions were from memory from about two months ago so if something doesn't work just trying wiping things out again and going at it one more time I actually had to format everything on mine (except for the SD card) to get it to install. Some ROMs are just picky. I went from another CM7 build to CosmicExperia so no promises when coming from a stock ROM it might take longer or just crap out. If you cant get it to work wipe it and dont install the Transformation pack or the ICS status bar patch till you get it to boot up totally.

yeah, so now it seems that all that happens is that at some point while the android bot is spinning, the phone just freezes. The logo stays displayed but nothing happens.

I would be glad to wipe it and try again but I don't know how to boot back into cwm? how do you do that?

Yeah go in and wipe it again including the Dalvik Cache then go under advanced and format everything except for your SD card. That should fix you. Reinstall the ROM then then Kernel then try the ICS status bar and reboot. Really Im sorry about it not working on the first shot but the guy who made the rom took the instructions away so im trying to remember them. Im going to be driving for a while so best of luck I assure you the ROM works and its pretty nicely coded but getting on without instructions is a little tricky. But you have all the piece of the puzzle you just have to get them in the right place. I will correct the first post if you let me know what worked for you.

Reset and hold Volume Up + Home + Power

Also maybe try rebooting in between each flash

EDIT: I tried that and on the first flash I got the same problem. Are you currently running this donovan?
EDIT: Wiped cache and data, it worked fine.

So here is the problem, when I hold volume up + home + power I get taken to fastboot mode not cwm. Is there a simply way to just restore the back up i created earlier today? Do i need to follow joban's kdz flasher method from the HOW TO FIX-fastboot mode started udc_start() thread?

did you ever have CWM installed on the phone?

I definitely did because I used it to install the files you posted from this post. I am currently trying to use the kdz flasher to fix things. I hoping I can get some where with this.

I'm coming from android 2.3.4 and I did have clockwork mod installed. The only way I had ever been able to boot into cwm was to go to rom manager and tell it to reboot into recovery. Either way, I was able to get things booting again with the p505 kdz file that joban posted using his instructions for fixing fastboot. I just rooted again and now I'm going to try to restore to my back up. If that works I may try some of the other suggestions to get comicexperia installed.

well, I was able to restore my backup and it looks like my phone is back to the exact way it was before. I think the point of this thread was to try out the cosmicexperia rom which hasn't worked for me yet. I do have to thank you again joban, the kdz file you posted for the phoenix worked great as did your instructions on how to come back from fast boot hell.

This rom still has the black screen bug though just like the other cm7 builds, correct? Meaning on a received call, and when you wake up the phone?

Whats the point of this?

The point was that someone asked me to post a link to the files because the orginal site went down I had a copy so I uploaded it. Unfortunately it seems that down grading to the old baseband causes some issues and no one knew they were on the new baseband till now. The up side is we are on the new baseband if we go with LG's update.

Just to clarify, are you saying that there is no point in trying to install any of roms that could run with joban's .32 version kernel if I have upgraded to ginger bread?

Attempt number 2 went much better than before. This time I installed each file one at a time in the order you suggested donovan. After i installed each file, I booted normally. Each time i was able to boot all the way into cosmicexperia. Of course, the first time all the graphics were messed up but after installing joban's kernel everything booted up looking great. I then individually installed the other three files with no problems. I am going to claim a small victory for myself for my first successful install of a custom rom (grant it, I was spoon direction and files that other people put hours of work into).

All that being said, it seems that I have no service now that everything is installed. I'm guessing this is why it was decided that those of us that have upgraded to gingerbread must be running the new baseband. Anyway, thanks for the directions, now I think i have a some semblance of familiarity with testing roms. I will probably restore my back up now as I need to be able to make and receive calls on my cell phone occasionally.
