Costco Citi Visa Samsung Pay Support?

I got my replacement from Citi for the Costco Amex card that's being retired recently. I've tried to enter it into Samsung Pay but it says that the card and/or the bank isn't supported. Could it be that it won't be supported it all? Or once June 20th rolls around do you think it will be supported?

You may need to wait until the 20th for it to be "active". If that doesn't work then it could be an unsupported card. Although it's a "Citi" card it's a Costco "card" and may not be supported by Android/Samsung Pay.

I talked with a Citi customer service rep. The card is not available for any use, including scanning into Samsung Pay, until June 20th. They state that very clearly on the activation sticker on the card: "Begin using on June 20, 2016". Also, when you activate the card you get an email that states: We have confirmed receipt of your card and it will be ready to use starting June 20, 2016.

I have been using the Amex "costco card" with samsung pay. I thought citi bank supports samsung pay.

Anyway to the OP, I think we will know the answer on the 20th. I really hope it works.

I spoke to a Costco customer service person at my local Costco yesterday and was told the new Visa Cards will work with SP after the 20th of June. Let's hope he is right....I too have been using my Amex card there with SP without a problem.

Attempted with my Business Citi Costco card... no dice. I get the card not supported message. Anyone else with the business card have any luck yet?

The card I loaded is a Costco/Citi business card. Loaded without a hitch and I've already used it with Samsung Pay at my Fry's grocery store.

Prior to the 20th I was getting an unsupported error message. Now I'm on day two with a "Connection error, Failed to connect to server. Try Again Later"

I have the normal citi card Costco and loaded it and it went through. Maybe you should set up online access first before loading it?

Loaded my CITI COSTCO card yesterday 6/20, and it loaded the first time.

I've set up everything for online access. Even made a payment. Yet, I can't load it into Samsung Pay.

Called citi and asked them about it. Business cards are not supported by any mobile wallet.

Total confusion here. My Citi/Costco card clearly has BUSINESS printed in white letters on the back. It loaded quickly in to Samsung Pay and has worked at checkout terminals. Perhaps the Citi rep is untrained or perhaps there's more than one class of Costco card. Confusing to me.

Don't know. Do you have a business name underneath your name on the card?

All I know is mine won't load and citi told me it shouldn't.

Yeah, no extra benefit for business card vs consumer like the Amex, gonna call them up and switch.
