Customer reviews of the Note 8

That S7E looks so dated with the homescreen button! Wow... Can't wait to wrap my nubby little fingers around that N8. I didn't preorder, so I'm looking g forward to next Friday. Note Day and Pay Day. Doesn't get much better!

The note 8 actually feels better in my hand than the significantly smaller s7 edge and I even like the added weight and squared of shape feel over the s8 plus.

Is the Note 8 wider than the samsung s7 edge or is it nearly the same?
It's wider and thicker on the edges but it feels much better to me than the s7 edge. Basically with the cases off you can fit the s7 edge inside the note 8 screen. But the note 8 doesn't feel too wide its about on par with the note 7 width wise but not as wide as the note 5 or the note 2 that I had back in the day.

Been in love with my Note 8 since Tuesday. Haven't seen or experienced anything that I should worry about. It's been great so far.

I've heard more than a few tech reviews say the same. Each year Samsung seems to push the bar a bit higher comfort wise. The N4 now feels like a literal brick! The N5 had a customized feel with the new curves. They've gotten more and more comfy to hold.

Since I have not seen this mentioned, could someone test it out the strength of the vibration?
Thanks and enjoy your new devices everyone.

Just got a message... It's the strongest vibration of a phone I've had

My quick review from one day of use - Losing the home button from the Note 5 has been an adjustment for me. I have pulled it from my pocket without looking and tried to hit the home button and was hitting the back of the phone. It has the same feel on both sides which I like. Very tall but the screen is awesome. Battery wasn't great but I tried to push it as much as I could, after eight hours of heavy use I have 40% left. I'll end up getting a Mophie case eventually. I haven't used Bixby enough to give a review yet but going to try it out. Very happy with the purchase so far and a big upgrade from my previous Note 5.

You got 8 hours of heavy use and have 40% battery life left? That seems like a pretty good battery to me since I get maybe til noon with my note 5 and I have to charge it...

can't wait to see the difference myself, have the N4 and N8 on the way, hopefully arrive next week, I ditched using the s-view cover a few weeks back and it's unreal how it feels like a completely different phone now I was used to the bulk with the cover on

We just received our Note 8s yesterday - wife has the gray and I have the black. I'm migrating from a Turbo XT and she from an iphone 6s. We are both happy - her maybe more than me. She had the note 7 and has been bitter for over a year about it having the problems.

First impression - it is so thin and not as big as I thought it would be. The fingerprint scanner location is not a problem at all and it was easy to set up. Spent some time immediately removing apps that I will never use (games pre-loaded and some of the Verizon stuff like NFL, etc) loaded up some of my go to apps and am very happy so far.

Now to spend some time learning/hacking productivity. This is my first Note, so trying to figure out the S-Pen and how I can incorporate that into calendar and planning. Tips welcomed!

Absolutely love this device. Beautiful photos, very fast processing, multi task, Bixby, Samsung Pay, love the love messages, you name it. It's got it all.

I've been too busy loading apps from scratch and moving what I can to my SD card to offer a real review. But...I did take a minute to look up 4K 60FPS videos on YouTube. Samsung has outdone themselves with this screen. It is simply gorgeous. I showed it to an iPhone 7+ user today and he said instantly that this screen KILLS his iPhone.

Not bad. Kinda like that one. How often can you set it to refresh? That's been one issue with many. Infrequent refresh options.
Refresh rate from 15 minutes upward.
Which dev? I see two with the same name.

There's a bit of a learning curve.

@Deke218 one more question. do they spam you to death with ads in the app? I'm so over being advertised to death and have quit using all apps that spam me in any way.
