Yoooooo. Twins work bought a house and being a mod. Kinda gave up the theme and other stuff. Wouldn't be fair to everyone that I would never have time to help and improve stuff. I'll be back as cm has brought new life to my x.

Nicely done Vader tyvm. And yes I can report heavier battery usage in this ROM but it seems to be while im actually doing something just pulls more juice than it did in other setups. Plus its CM7 I cant put my X down lol. Gona install that crt anim/cdma fix now.

Glad it worked. Look on the rootzwiki thread. They have the two 3rd party apps that will help you take pics. Don't remember which ones right now. Will post later when I find them.

Anyone tell me if Cyanogen is better then Liberty. Because I paid for Liberty, and I wanna see if this is really worth giving up Liberty.

Liberty Gingerbread = not finish yet but stable and with the last update v.08 most of the bugs got fixed and great Toolbox (Good ROM, used to run it on my X, not that great battery life compare to ApeX, and Liberty is also bigger when it comes to memory)

Now Cyanogen for X is a Beta version, meaning buggy and broken (but once is done it will RULE all ROMS and to quote cvpcs "that sound you hear is a billion other DX roms crying out in terror and suddenly silenced"

IMO, wait for Cyanogen to get the bugs worked out:

Camera (there's a fix using two 3rd party free apps in the market, but the stock is broken, EDIT: THE APPS ARE "FAST BURTS" and "Camera Illusion"
The memory drain (By the display and phone idle, proof in rootwiki.com thread)
Auto-Brightness (Is broken, cvpcs knows about this and its working on a fix that should come in a nightly)
GPS (a fixed has been found, but you have to do it manually using another file from a GB ROM) EDIT:http://androidforums.com/droid-x-all-things-root/356203-cm4dx-gps-fix.html - here you will find the GPS FIX.

and other bugs that i don't know since i am not running it ( I was going to but the camera and gps was a deal breaker for me, i drive to appointments a lot and I am going to a concert tomorrow, I need my camera!)

Once the camera bug is really fixed I will jump on this ROM no doubt, just like the rest of the X owners waiting for the bugs to get fixed.

If you use your X as your daily driver do not change to Cyanogen, stay on Liberty (I felt like you, "I paid for it i might as well use it", however there's a ROM for everyone)

cvpcs and the Cyanogen Team (plus thousands others) are working hard to make this the best ROM for the X!

Since it appears CM7 is moving closer to becoming a "nightly" , I will probably flash this later today or tonight too.

Also a new, updated CWM Recovery can be flashed in Rom Manager if you chose Droid X(2nd -init)will bring you to 4.0.0.5 which is bronze(?) in color when you boot into recovery.

If you do not want to lose your crt animation do not flash the update to cwm. Over at the rootzwiki forums there's been reports that you will lose it. Which its not that big of a deal.

So Jerseyboy...hows your X running so far?

I am loving this! After spending time with Fission and Liberty I can say this is the fastest my X has ever been. I had been planning on a Bionic when it comes along, but it may be hard to part with the X now...

All I need is the camera to work and a few minor bugs fixed and I will be even happier!!

I saw this over on rootz, what is the value of this unless you are on cm7, I'm going to guess nothing, but maybe there is a benefit.

Like everyone else, I'm waiting for the bugs to be taken down. I have Apex running and been very happy with the Rom even as far back as 1.3

I can answer on how my X is running

I have to say, Cyanogenmod is the fastest rom I have used ever on my X. I just can't believe it. I will probably never buy another phone unless it has Cyanogen built for it. Its fast, there are a few things not working, but nothing too bad. The only thing I really hate is that the camera isn't working. I have had several moments already where I wanted a picture but couldn't do it xD
GPS doesn't work, auto brightness doesn't work, CRT doesn't work.

CM nightlies for DX should be here any day now, you can wait if you want, but really, CM is excellent as it is. If the above bugs make your device unusable, don't flash it. But if you don't care, it is totally worth it

Everything is running fine, cept for the boot loop I got myself into this a.m. at work and my USB cable is at home,lol. Sent you a PM all about it.

So its nice and stable for me, and all the new Google apps work just fine, only problem is it feels very froyo based. No Rotation animation and things like that. No that its really a problem just an observation.

Well, maybe I'll be back to CM7 when its closer to final. I am back to stock(http://forum.androidcentral.com/motorola-droid-x/94602-cant-get-setup-start.html) so I will run with a totally stock phone and see how long I can make it. Ha.

Good luck Jersey. I find it frustrating being on stock long enough to root and flash something lol. So after some more use its very stable. Overclocked well. Is very fast. Only problem is that video doesn't work and GPS dosndt work. Also I miss the animation for orientation rotation.

Yea it was running just as perfectly as expected when I had it this past week. Vignette would take a picture but it wouldnt process it so I ended up with a bunch of failed files on my SD card. Didnt try taking video but it did turn on. My maps were ok but Current Location would fail. It'll get better with time. It's honestly why my signature says what it does about my ole Dinc simply because of CM7 and well, MIUI too but CM7 was my first ROM experience before I got here with my X

Only thing in last few days I found i missed was my camera. GPS is a big issue but haven't needed it yet. Once both are fixed this will be awesome.

CM forums said something about the sound not working right. Didn't see any posts about that here and was wondering if anyone noticed issues with that?
