when i flash just the ROM the phone seems to work perfectly fine but once i throw the kernel on it everything stops working

i partitioned it exactly the same way you did yours and i know i have RC2 installed...it says it under my "About Phone" stuff

I figured when I restored my data from my backup I'd get Swype back lol

lame...reflashed RC2, redid RA-Recovery, repartitioned, reflashed kernel...rebooted...lets see what happens
