Absolutely the introduction of Google Glass. Wow! That really set the bar for wow factor.
A close runner up was the introduction of Google+ events, and the auto upload feature - where everyone can share their pictures with all attendees.

Looking to get back into side dev (have a paid app in the store that needs UI updates) now that the kiddos are a little more self sufficient.

Sent from my Nexus 5 using AC Forums mobile app

My favorite announcement from Google I/O was in 2013 when they announced the voice hotword, "OK Google". This announcent allowed search to be faster as well as created a better user experience. " OK Google" also extended the Google Now experience allowing for better results. I found this feature to be one of my favorite android features and I can't wait to see more at I/O.

i liked the sky dive/ bikes from a coupla years ago. I remember there was a link from your site and I watched it on my Google TV. I was pretty excited back then about all that google/android goodness coming together. That and the free gifts, the free galaxy tab caught my attention

I'd have to say Nexus 7. Prior tablets had been underpowered, overpriced, or both. This device really opened the door for us, and persuaded my parents to get one too. It has become their default ereader and Hangouts over the Nexus 7 have been a great way to give them more than voice contact with their grandson.

Definitely, it was Google Glass!!!

I like Android Studio and I'm using it for my Android IDE, but If I choose only thing most shocked announcement is, yes indeed, Google Glass.

so far its All access music. I listen to tons of new radios every day. Hearing things i've never heard before. I also liked play services i think. Separating it was a good move.

Google Glass was the best announcement so far. Combined with the whole skydiving thing made it even more awesome.
