Hey man love your rom. I'm sort of a noob with this rom stuff and I was wondering, does setcpu really make much of a difference with the overall speediness of the phone? Also what other ways, aside from using setcpu, are there that can help speed up my phone? My main concern is that the internet seems very sluggish (watching youtube, netflix, etc.) when I use the wifi hotspot widget. Thanks!

Not sure I understand. Why are using the hotspot widget? That is for providing wifi to devices other than your phone. All you need is wifi turned on to watch youtube, netflix, etc. on your phone. Can't help but believe there is going to be a performance hit with the hotspot widget running along with whatever else you got going.

In regards to setcpu, you'll see, roughly, the same percentage increase in speediness as the increase in the max cpu, providing whatever application you are using hits that rate and keeps it there. But that will probably be a battery burner too.

Honestly, I don't subscribe to the overclocking hype. I feel like it doesn't provide a noticeable increase in performance and kills battery. Past that, there isn't much more that will speed up your device.

About the Evdo speed. Perhaps you are getting bad service in your area. Try out my PRL hack in this forum.

i think the user is saying they are using hotspot widget on their device, to tether to a PC on which they are watching netflix and youtube. The PC connected to the phone isnt providing them the speed they are looking for.

Remember, we can't watch netflix on our phones.

Yup, you are probably correct in that interpretation. Sometimes I get my iPod's capabilities confused with those of the Optimus. Thanks again for the help you provided me on my PM to you.

Yeah they will all work. I'm working on an update right now.

Turn off signature verification in recovery, then flash it.

Oh, you can't flash nROM through LGs recovery, you need a custom one.
