havent tried this rom, how is it?

Personally, it's the best I've used. Mainly because it's gingerbread. But there are a few quirks still left unfixed, check the bug tracker on the OP for details about what's working and what isn't. I'd suggest looking over the FAQ in my signature to see some of the common problems people have had when trying out this rom, and what's been done about it. Of course, let us know if you have any other questions or problems!

With previous CM7 roms, playing with call settings' proximity sensor would resolve the phone dark issue but not in this build.
Does anyone have a solution for the phone dark screen during a call?

It still works for me, on latest build, although still v9 (though I doubt that makes much of a difference). I did notice that it was a bit wonky after I flashed, so i unchecked the setting, rechecked it, rebooted, and it seemed fine after that. So I'd try a reboot and maybe clearing caches, but it is working for me fine.

Format /system command does the same thing as the debug zip file. Either method is equally valid.

The zip file fills the gap that thunderc-recovery leaves. If, however, you're using xionia clockwork recovery, this functionality is already built in. So there's no need for that zip file.

is it very stable and fast? im thinking of going from TR to this rom

Very stable. its been my daily driver since the first nightly release. However, there are still a few bugs here and there. most are fairly minor. Check the google issues on the first page to see what the issues are. good luck

Fast, yes. Especially with the built-in overclocking ability (you don't need to be using a separate OC-enabled kernel). Stable, like a rock... that has some small cracks in it. I only say that because of the bugs that aren't fixed yet, but I use it as a daily rom, and it's been damn-near perfect. That isn't to say that if it randomly reboots or some apps force close then you have a right to scream and shout about it.. But I'll go ahead and say that yes, it is stable enough for daily use with confidence about its functionality and speed.

thanks for the heads up guys!! would it be a big hassle to go from TR to this rom?

Be very careful to follow the directions exactly. I didn't and bricked mine. Fixed it though, and tried again, and followed the directions with no problems. This is a very stable rom, and it's my daily. Can get slow, but only because i only reboot to flash a new nightly, I never wipe cache, and xionia can't find my dalvik. When I wipe cache, reboot, and wait a few minutes, the thing runs like butter. Make sure to check out the wii controller apps too (assuming you like emulators and have a wii), as this is the only rom they work on.

Is there a way to edit the lock screen

Sent from my LS670 using Tapatalk

Not really. However, you can use something like WidgetLocker to accomplish exactly that. (Warning: it costs $2, but well worth it if you find the need for it.)

EDIT: I forgot you can, however, change what kind of unlocking method you want with this rom. For example, a sliding tab vs rotary vs slide-down action..

Yeah, that's true - limited edits are possible. I don't use WidgetLocker, but it definitely seems pretty awesome, just because you can do so much with it.. I might actually try it out sometime.

Wierd but I am Happy

So I have been running two ROMS for a while now, but something surprised me today, and I am not sure why/how its happening. Usually I flash between the two every other day or so, to keep them both updated. I have the most recent kernel of zefies on both, and use his cwma version 6. I flash between the CM7 build and ThundeROM.

I flashed the 3/17 build and updated the apps on that ROM within a couple hours of it being released. I have not touched that ROM, until this morning. I was runing ThundeROM1.8.2, and this morning I flash formatted system, and factory reset from inside cwma, and restored to the backup of CM7 I had.

The (knock knock ... me knocking on wood) proximity sensor has not failed me once since 6 am when I recovered the ROM. Crazy huh?

Not a partial working, but the instance I move the phone from my melon, the screen comes back on. I wish I knew why it was working.

EDIT *** So, after about 20 hours of using this ROM, the proximity sensor started to act up again, and has become progressively worse. It almost makes you think that some setting is being stored somewhere and it's value is not being set correctly. ***

Just flashed this ROM and so far so good! I really appreciate the work yall put into this thing.

I was just wondering if there was a way to get the froyo keyboard and keyboard sounds while running this ROM. I don't really like gingerbread keyboard that much. Thanks!

This might work for you. I downloaded it and went to install, but saw that it will replace the gingerbread keyboard since it installs with the same name ("Android Keyboard"). I prefer the gingerbread keyboard, and was too lazy to find the apk for that one, so you might want to do a nandroid backup before trying this just in case it doesn't work for you.

I would suggest either a google voice number or a skype number. Either should work with wifi only.
