Is hotspot available/working in this rom?

If you want to use the hotspot use the 04-19 version of this ROM. It's broken in the two more recent updates. I'm in the same boat, I need that particular functionality but I don't want to go back to Froyo T_T

LG said that they'd be releasing Gingerbread officially for this device. What's taking so long >_<

This code is really starting to get to me. Now I can't lunch, brunch, or breakfast and it is saying there is no rule for bacon. Just doing a make on it does not produce any usable product. I'm still working on it, but don't get your hopes up for anything before Monday.

I'm quoting myself here but there's a post over on XDA about the Gingerbread update for the Optimus S being pushed back to August according to an e-mail from LG to an annoyed customer. I guess bad news is better than no news *sigh*

P.S. Here's the link to the thread. It was started by the guy who sent the e-mail to LG.

I was making some calls last night, no bluetooth or headphones plugged in and i could hear them crystal clear, but they couldn't hear me. this is bad when you are high as a kite in a park with a flat tire on your bike and need to call a cab.

anyone have issues with it automatically muting upon dial, and not showing it was muted. ***i read somewhere by quickly hitting mute and unmute it will fix this, but that's ridiculous***

To roll back to that build do I just flash the debug, 4-19 nightly, then gapps and reboot and will I lose me apps and data?

download titanium backup

I do use TB regularly, just didnt know if I would lose everything. If I do, no problem, but I am not sure the hotspot feature is worth the hassle of what it will take to achieve it. I am loving sp cm7 without it so I just dont know.

If you have the xionia recovery, use the mounts section to format system, then flash the old update over whichever one you have. If it still no worky, then wipe and all that. But try to avoid the wiping business, it's a PITA.

Having a small problem with cm7. I setup everything and had cm7 running fine for a few hours, but then I powered off to switch in a new battery and when I tried turning on the phone it was just stuck at the scott pilgrim boot animation. So I searched the forums looking for a solution and found something about flashing the old boot screen so I flashed that and it was still stuck at that boot animation. I tried wiping the cache and dalvik cache, still stuck at boot animation. So I wiped data, cache, everything and restored a nandroid backup running shell rom. Is there a fix or anything that I could do to avoid/prevent getting stuck in the boot animation? I really enjoyed using cm7 for the short amount of time I had it.

Did u format everything before flashing cm7? Which recovery do u use? In cwma u do so in mounts and with thunderc u have to flash the debug zip before flashing cm7......also u could have tried a dirty flash before u had gone back to Reborn......

Not that I think it could have hurt, but on cwma u don't need to flash the debug zip. If you get the frozen boot/boot loop again, try a dirty flash before restoring a nand, sorry I couldn't be of anymore help:)

well I tried it without flashing the debug.zip file and just did a clean run of it again and after testing it to see if it would get stuck sure enough it stopped at the boot animation. :/

thanks for the help though!

Ok. What are u doing exactly. What baseband version u running on are u rooted..... as we speak I'm. Using this Tom so far I'm on 2.3.3 with mms working and everything else I haven't check portible hotspots. But I can assured. U that it works.

Now try doin a wipe completely use another sdcard if u have an extra on put the files debug, rom, gapps .. in this order. Do it it should work
