Right... How can I manually add Odexed fonts, if that's possible?
And I didn't want to try CM7 themes from just anywhere in case they weren't universal and something exploded or summat. Thanks.
Zefie, is it possible to get VPN on GB? I know that it is more kernel related but I was hoping for some VPN support for this crazy phone.

Nervmind, figured out my own problem. I was using the wrong type of connection.
The PPTP connection works great!!!!!
(FYI Android does not like a username with a space in it...)

That I havent even looked into, I was gonna start some themeing but I have been following the source and see framework changes so themes would have to be updated. Thats to much work to modify a theme every other day, lol. Search around at XDA, you may find something there. The CM7 themes on the market, if they have the little duck icon, they are good
I have the Optimus V (which is the Optimus S that originally came with a different software build, basically).
Your build is working well on it, but there are a few problems:
- Location in the browser doesn't work (i.e., go to google.com - on normal ROMs, it will show your location at the bottom of the page - it doesn't even show the prompt to grant the site location access.)
- GPS is very finicky - it took a significant amount of time to get a fix (but once it did the first time, it's worked fine thereafter)
- Distances to places in Google Maps show in kilometers (i.e., search for a place, then click to view the place details - you'll see a compass arrow then the distance - those are in km) - this is true even when the locale is set to en_US
These two are Optimus V specific:
- The first two hard keys on this phone are inexplicably reversed from the Optimus S - our keys go Menu, Home, Back, Search -- but they currently have the functions as on the Optimus S. A menu option or something to say "I have an Optimus V, please swap the first two keys" would be nice.
- I'm going to guess MMS isn't working; I don't really care. This can be fixed, though, the VM MMSC is: http://mmsc.vmobl.com:8088/mms (MMS proxy: 205.239.233.136:81 )
I know I should probably have put this in the bug tracker, but some of these are RFEs, and some of these are OV specific. If you want me to file these there, just let me know.

Please don't add any VM specific issues to the tracker, it will just make zefie's job harder to stabilize this for V and S users if he doesnt know what is for his phone versus a phone he doesn't even own.

Ok I have a bone stock optimus s and have done the resent ota update. I am coming from the moment that had the sprint updater. Just for clarification purposes I need to root the phone first right? But when I look at the root page it says I can't root it with. The ota update. Help me please this phone is a heck of a lot more complicated than any other android device I own
Is there anyway I can make the ringtones that came with this rom loop. The one I prefer to use only plays once when I get a call. Any help would be great.
the ringtone looping thing is gonna be a pain for me to test because I don't use loops I create 30 second files because that is as long as a cell phone will ring.
I suppose someone could find me a free one that doesn't suck and maybe I'll test it xD
Edit: anyway sorry I didn't accomplish anything today, therefore no new nightly. I'm taking a break so I'll probably start working on it again tomorrow or Monday

Still kind of curious as to whether there's any way at all I can replace fonts on this ROM. I don't care if I have to do it manually; that's a learning experience for me. Can anyone help?
Anyone know if gps via "use network" to find location is broken? I can't completely test this at the moment (at work) but seem to be having issues AT work with it. I'll play with it more on my way home though.The GPS broken posts inspired me to play around with it.

Playing with it before work while I was outside, GPS worked, locked to satellites fine. Didn't think to try turning off the GPS sensor and trying the network method of finding my location. I'll edit later tonight (if I remember to) with an update.

I get location via cell very easilly. About a 1000 ft accuracy though. So it shouldn't be related to CM7.

By turning off GPS, I get the accuracy within 1000 ft. GPS is OFF and Network-Based location on only (Just to clarify)

I got this installed on my optimus v its awesome! Only one problem is the mms not coming through right? coming up with that 9999999999 number is there any way to fix this? I really wanna keep this rom on here. Also could me keeping this on my optimus v cause any kind of damage? Thanks in advance for any help!
Having a major problem here.
I cannot seem to dial a specific contact. Reads Call Lost when I dial.

As I was typing this I had a thought, and noticed that this contacts number had the + sign in front of it. Sure enough that was stopping it. Any idea why? It was never a problem on any other build or any other phones.
Also, why does the status bar text go to white and then back to theme? Does on its own and also when making a call.
Receiving periodically data lock ups as well. Quick airplane mode fixes but just curious if I am alone on this.
Am on V for what its worth.

Ok just played around with my gps as I said above after leaving work. I get my location is temporarily unavailable if I turn off gps satellites and use just the network towers.
@kazea thanks for the info. I wonder if this is just me. Did you flash 18 over an earlier version or wipe everything first? I did a full wipe (system, data, the works)

Follow this thread to revert to V9, then update with the LG updater, then you'll be able to root no problem.

I can confirm the cyanogenmod themes with duck icon in market work. I have d/l 3 of them and they now show up in theme changer. I am currently running the yellow theme.
