Hi all. As we all are enjoying and exploring these awesome Optimus custumizations of CM7, I'm curious to get your feedback on the performance tweaks; specifically :
1) which governor are you using?
2) What min/max CPU combination have you found works best?
3) What is your VM heap size?
4) Do you keep Surface Dithering enabled?

Thanks for your feedback.

1) Interactive
2) 245/806
3) Whatever default is
4) Whatever default is....don't even know how to change this one...any help?

As far as enabling/disabling Surface Dithering: you can do so by checking or unchecking the box below use/disable JIT

I only keep my max cpu at 768.. I've found that if it's much higher I can notice significant battery drain.

Also, what's the difference between interactive and ondemand? I've tried both and can't seem to notice any huge difference between the two..

For the Record i have been running this ROM for some time but left to try nRom (which is very nice) but when i saw the new release i wanted to try it.

My Experience is that it MUST be flashed over an older version.

I wiped everything including data the flashed the 02252011 and gapps and it stuck on the 2nd LG logo never booted so i wiped all again and reflashed (granted this is me coming from nRom) still no go. So i wiped everything again flashed a older version i think it was 02192011 then flashed 02252011 then gapps and it booted up fine and works great

I said all that just incase anyone else has problems coming from another ROM to this new release.

Let me know if this is an isolated even and i will delete to prevent confusion.

Edit:
forgot the debug zip

MORAL OF THE STORY DONT FORGET TO FLASH THE DEBUG ZIP BETWEEN UPDATES AND CHANGING ROMS

did you wipe system with the debug zip first? that is a very important step when coming from any other rom, and still equally important when updating to a new nightly some times.

Thanks for your hard work BTW i never thought i would see a gingerbread port for the Optimus and i must say this ROM helps me to not to miss my EVO as much (my she rest in peace)

yeah there is some weird oddity where the CM7 zip doesn't wipe system, even though the code is there. It is a bug in froyo recovery I think.

What I found out is the performance setting works best for my phone if that helps idk

Don't know if anyone else has this issue, but my ringtones do not work. When someone calls it just plays the default ringtone. It doesn't matter if i choose one of the pre-installed ringtones or a mp3's.

Did you select it through settings>sound>phone ringtone? I've done it that way and works perfect. If it still doesn't work, I'd suggest wiping everything and reflashing (after a nandroid backup of course..)

Performance just locks your phone at full speed no matter what. So you are just wasting battery when its sleeping.

Likewise Powersave does the same thing, but instead of max speed, it locks at minimum speed.

I run on demand. Seems to work perfect. Runs quick but does kill battery

Anyone else notice that the sound reproduction isn't so hot with headphones or car or home amps? Bass is way off and the overall sound is very "tinny"....
Love the rom, but I use my music player all day long and its hard to listen to now......

Known issue....try mucking around more with the DSP equalizer, but it still isn't perfect.

Sorry but, I forgot to put in my post that it is the ringtones for individual contacts. The global ringtone works. I have also wiped everything and reflashed.

Some of you who signed up for Dropbox please install the client, it is not malware. But it is required to take advantage of both the service and the bonus space for the both of us.
