the Silent mode box is unchecked i'm pretty sure about that. Even when i go to sound i have vibrate in always

Hmm it might be a bit of a pain but you might want to try a reflash. Does it still vibrate if you go back to your previous rom?

If i go back to my previous rom which is ThundeRom it does vibrate, so i will have to wipe data/cache and reflash? Also i'm using defiller's custom recovery (dont know how to write his name sorry xD)

Did you also use the system debug zip when flashing cm7? Vibrate seems to work fine for most so its got to be a glitch from when out flashed it. Initially, yes, you have to wipe everything including using that system debug zip.. if you didn't do that then you're almost guaranteed to run into some problems..

What i did is the follow:

1. zip debubg.zip
2. flash nigthly
3. flash google apps
4. reboot

If i'm doing something wrong, can you please give a little guide how to do it correctly? I will really appreciate that. :)

You should: (all from the recovery console)

Wipe data / factory reset
Wipe cache
Wipe dalvik
Flash debug
Flash nightly
Flash gapps

Follow that order so you get as fresh a start as possible. Otherwise you might get other stuff left behind that can cause issues..

Hey guys is there any way to remove the stock messaging app or disable it?

I use handcent you can also use chomp.
After installing whichever you would like to use it should start showing right away. To disable the default messaging app from showing in the notification bar you can open it, open the menu, go to settings, uncheck the box to show notifications and it'll be as if you don't have it anymore. You could probably freeze it with Titanium Backup too, but I haven't tried that yet.

Still doesnt work for me.....do you think if i pull out the battery and reboot it like that it will "restore"?? Because what i noticing now the vibration doesn't work at all!! I'm really worry about this

which recovery are you using? and version if applicable

drellisdee's custom recovery and version if you mean build: RA-thunderc-1.1.0-GNM

build...version, same split end,

try the cwm, its on the first page of this thread, i liked thunderc too but give it a shot.

acromack's plan is slightly different from my own, but i'd:
wipe data
flash debug
wipe cache
wipe dalvik, only because thunderc has it on the main wipe screen
flash nightly
boot into phone
reboot into recovery
flash gapps

though i really don't know why were going through this for a vibrator, this rom is again a pre-alpha release, or should at least be treated like one, i've just in the last minuet tested the vibrate on ring function by simply pressing volume down on the home screen with no music until the yellow bar for ring volume was completely gone, then pressed one more time the phone immediately vibrated in my hand. I picked up my ex's phone and called mine and it started vibrating. If yours does not do this after completing this method, restore to stock and test your vibrating function, if vibrator does not work, you phone may need to be warranted, repaired or replaced. I'd also advise against the vibrating app as it does burn up your vibrator faster then usual.

Ok what i did i just wipe data/cache and flash ThunderROM and the vibration works perfect...... i put the volume until the yellow bar goes off and it start vibrating also i called from my house phone and star vibrating....

And you are right it is just a pre-alpha, we shouldn't be breaking our heads for just a vibrator thing, but maybe i'm not the only one with the problem..(i hope xD)

Like I said vibrating works for me on the latest nightly try flashing back and see if it works.

sms over 160 characters works, sms split is just turned off by default, open up messages make sure you at the screen where all threads are, press menu>>settings, then check sms split, and my preference is to add split counter, so i did.

special thanks to joakyno, for helping me test this,

it may not split the texts automagically by default, but it means not having to install extra apps and the options are there just not activated by default so win.

Special thanks to you too ichihollow for helping me finding all that and also be aware if you have a little problem with text and vibration.

If you go to messeging > setting >notification settings it is set to NEVER vibrate by default, just change it to always.

the lack of swype is not a bug. I'm not LGE I do not have a license to put it in my rom.

The lack of swype isn't the bug. Quite frequently swype will cease to work properly. It only reacts like the default keyboard... one key press at a time functionality but I can't "swype" words. Everytime I try the border of swype flashes blue.

The only workaround I've found is to disable swype, enable the default gingerbread keyboard, type a message, then disable gingerbread and re-enable swype... rebooting doesn't fix it. I've never had that on stock or thunder so I figured it was something that just wasn't working in CM7.

BTW, Thanks for all the amazing work! :)
