Dont understand what issues with the camera... I reverted to 0404 and my zoom works fine...

Swyped from my g-breaded optimus prime.

Is this ROM going to advance anymore? Or is it a dead ROM? Does anyone know of another Gingerbread ROM we can flash?

Thanks!

I don't run it, but my understanding is that the link on the forum page is out of date. More up to date stuff is linked on his twitter page (or something like that). I don't know if the Sprint patch works with the latest builds though.

aosp has stopped posting updates on xda because of some other issues and is only releasing them on his twitter page. The Sprint patch will work on any of the recent builds. However, you will notice that the date of the build will say 4/4 even though you may be running the 4/27 build. All you have to do is pull the build.prop from the phone, edit the date and push it back. It is really just cosmetic. Other than that everything is good with the Sprint 'patch'. The Sprint zip includes the mms apk that makes sure picture mail works, the new build.prop that identifies the phone for Sprint (along with build date), the eri.xml file that changes the name on the notification dropdown and lock screen to say Sprint instead of Virgin Mobile, and lastly it has a keymapper file so that the menu and home keys get revesed to what ours really are. If you have any questions about aosp's rom you can contact me or join his irc channel as well (found in his signature on the xda posting).

Thought I would update. On xda there is a discussion saying the official gb update is July now per the LG Italy FB page.

I'm pretty sure zefie posted a while ago that he was essentially done, that someone else was more than welcome to take over the project......and he did smash his optimus.....

I cant seem to get it to work, everytime i flash the rom, as per your instructions when it begins to boot and i get the rocker, it keeps going for a while and then freezes, and its not just your rom, any gingerbread roms i have tried for the optimus s have had the same issue

make sure to wipe all data and all cache and use the systemformat zip

1) Make Nandroid Backup
2) Wipe all data/ all cache (NOT OPTIONAL)
3) Goto "mounts and storage", choose "format system" (Xionia CWMA only,(ALSO NOT OPTIONAL)
3) Install zips* provided (in correct order)
4) Reboot and enjoy beta gingerbread.

Well, if I can get Zefie's sources and patches and stuff, I could start compiling some builds for us. I have only 6 days left of high school 'til I graduate, so after that I have free time. Once I'm in college, I'm going to be majoring in telecommunications, so I'll have access to servers where I could run a nightly-building script.

Omg yes! :D

The way I see it... take it as is.. or leave it. Dont expect anything new from this. Hopefully soon there will be a new rom to take over CM7

I think he posted his source code on his github that would be great if someone would pickup where he left off and congrats on graduating.
