I am using the 04042011 nightly on 2 LG Optimus S'es. One is my primary use phone, the other is a wifi only extra phone.

Both phones will randomly reboot throughout the day with or without using. I have even had times where after a restart and unlocking the phone leads to another reboot. What is causing these reboots and/or how can I help debug it?

I'd love to use CM7, but unfortunately this port is highly unstable for me.

Apparently too mcuh, can't build it with the new updates as CM7 build system is failing to properly find BoardConfig.mk for me or whatever. So maybe someone can do something with my updated repos but I can't.

maybe it really does need a 64-bit system now.

I'll be PMing you in the next few days so you can help me pick up where you left off... I hate Ubuntu with a passion now, so I'm going to be compiling in Debian.

I responded but I turned off PM for the reason in the reply. Hopefully it still goes through or something.

Alright... do you have AIM/GTalk? I don't use Twitter, but I will if you don't use AIM/GTalk.

BTW my twitter is @trahm93

I just flashed this a few days ago, and the only issue I'm having with it is that my phone randomly stops charging. As in, the phone just randomly decides that it's no longer connected to the charger. When I plug the phone in overnight, it'll charge for a bit, but then stops and begins to drain the battery, so when I wake up it's at 30% or so. If I unplug it and plug it back in, it'll recognize again that it's connected to the charger and begin to charge.

I've never had this problem before. I tried getting it all the way charged and wiping the battery stats, but this didn't help. Any suggestions?

Sometimes wifi issues here, including reboots. I have the most problems when I use the widget/notification button. When Wifi won't turn on that way, I go to the Wireless and Networks settings, turn on Hotspot. Then from Wireless and Networks I turn on Wifi (turns off Hotspot automatically).

Zefie, can you follow me on twitter (trahm93) so I can message you? I just graduated high school and I have Kubuntu all setup and ready to go for compiling.

I successfully rooted and flashed my LG Optimus S to This mod. but when I get a voicemail it also sends me a text to call a wierd number which isnt mine. Is there a way to change that or to not get the sms message?

It's been a while for me but I can at least get you started. Sprint's visual voicemail has some issues with CM7 in general, you would want to search for that specifically for a solution. It's something along the lines of activating the app. I couldn't get it to activate so I switched to Google Voice for voicemail which is worlds better than sprint's anyway. I can't remember if I had to block sprint's text notification, but if you continue to get those, you can use a 3rd party text app (handcent or gosms for example) to block those texts.

Zefie I'm currently pulling down your CM source from your github. I've been getting some random repo sync errors though... dunno what's up with that. is the -j16 flag that important?

If you do start building and you need a tester let me know.

Are you asking me? I was using SetCPU to overclock to 750MHz, but reduced it back down to stock 600MHz. It increased stability, but I still get random reboots.

I can run my S completely stable at 864, but if I use SetCPU I get the random restarts just like you. I would suggest using the overclock that confess with CM7. It's under settings> CyanogenMod settings> Performance> click ok> cpu settings. That's where i set my oc settings.
