Ok, i'm OCing with zefies kernel, running 1.3 rom, and have problems with removing the sd. The phone is functioning but the screen does not refresh this was tested by pressing the lock button, the screen turns off, press the lock button the screen turns on, back to exactly what the previous screen was, only if i put my finger where the slide unlocker is and slide it i feel the pulse telling me the phone unlocked... the problem has manifested itself in other ways, like showing me the unlock screen and unlocking but going to a non functioning home screen, can't drag down notify bar, or change pages, or open menu, or open apps list. The sd card was NOT unmounted for two of the incidences but on the one time the card was unmounted before removal the screen turned to static garbage but like in the first case the display just wasn't updating, i could lock and unlock just couldn't actually see anything but static
Did u have sd card problems before? I would suggest addressing any sd card problems before trying to optimize the phone. The sd card used to cause my phone to slow down or freeze. There is a whole thread on what different ppl have tried. Can't give u the link right now cuz I'm on my way out the door but have a look through the forum and u will see. Usually replacing it with a new formatted card will fix ur issue. Hope this help.

Basketthis is correct, the first thing you need to do is ditch the stock SD card and buy yourself a new one. The ones that came with the first set of phones are garbage. Order one online rather than going to a brick and mortar store to buy one because you can typically get them cheaper online, usually significantly cheaper.
The next thing i would do if a new sd card doesn't fix it, is to wipe dalvik and wipe cache and then flash the ROM over top of itself. This won't wipe your factory data so your contacts and texts and stuff will stay in tact. This will put you back onto the stock kernel. The reason i suggest that is we don't trouble shoot devices that aren't running what we provide.
This is not done to be mean or an attempt to not help anyone but kernels control the interaction between the software and the hardware. Someone could make the best ROM in the world but a problem with a kernel will ruin the experience and who do people usually go see? The ROM developer. Now same goes for kernel devs though they could have an amazing kernel but if it's packaged with a crappy ROM, it makes their kernel look bad. It is this reason alone that rule #1 of reporting a bug in post #2 exists ...

Since it worked before i figure it's a ROM issue. New to android so not sure how to fix it. They played through gallery perfectly or Zimly media player before.
You need to go HERE and flash the "BuildPropJITOnly".

Curious- what is the cause of his playback problem, and why does flashing the JIT enabled prop fix it? If he's running ThunderROM, isn't JIT already enabled??
Is there anyway you can post the image that is used as the default wallpaper in the ROM? I changed mine, and cannot find the one you guys set up.
Hi
Thanks for the great work.
- I have rooted this phone
- I have installed custom recovery (recovery-RA-GNM-thunderc-s-1.1.0.img )
- I have run Nandroid backup
I want to flash this rom. Since I am new, I want to double check everything before pushing this button. I think this is what I need to do now.
- Download zip and put in sdcard / directory (without unzipping)
- boot the phone in recovery mode
- Wipe cache, dalvik
- Select flash zip from recovery menu
Did I get the sequence correct.
Thanks for all your help.
Thanks! Installed the ROM today and ran a benchmark test. It's showing potential for a substantial performance increase.
Has anyone seen a large difference in the battery life so far?
