I'll see how many times it reboots tomorrow and then I'll d/l the stock file. I think I have 30 days to return my phone. Hopefully, I won't need to...

The features/price ratio of this phone is ginormous.

Sounds good post back and let us know how it goes.
Yeah you have the 30days, Im very happy with the optimus, i love the phone.

What you are viewing does not mean that 50% of battery is gone. This shows where the battery usage is. So "cell standby" at 50% is normal. Meaning the 26 minutes since you pulled the phone from the charger, 50% of the battery that was used went to cell standby. That battery usage display is tricky, many people look at it and think that because the usage numbers are high, and the since unplugged numbers low, that the battery is draining fast. Not the case, add the numbers up, 100%. The battery is not 100% drained right, OK. It just breaks down what the battery has been doing since the phone was unplugged. This is not directed towards anyone, it is just to sort of explain the battery usage display, so nobody gets confused on what the numbers mean.

I'm with you there, my phone has rebooted several times, even on stock, and it was completely unusable overclocked. I'll be trying to exchange it out as well.

I was curious why does the rom feel laggy in the hone screen when transitioning from side to side. It only feels smooth when there is nothing on the home screens but when I add a clock or anything. But I go and add launcher pro and it feels smooth again is it just the gingerbread launcher

I was looking at the autokill levels and noticed that they are set relatively high for the last 3 positions, is it necessary to have so much free ram on this phone? Does it improve the JIT performance?
This is what I have: 14,16,24,150,152,190
Also what are the stock numbers, I did not check before flashing.
Thanks

I use adw most the time and haven't had this happen to me. Does this happen when using the launcher included in the rom?

beezy

It seemed to happen when I did a wipe data but left awd settings on the sdcard, i flashed to 1.6.2, and after installing awd again on the new flash it started acting up.

Why would leaving awd files on the sdcard effect a reinstall?

Anyway I formatted my sd card, wiped data, reinstalled 1.6.2 fresh
installed awd over a fresh sdcard, and fresh rom and all seems well now.

Thanks

Hit Menu > Presets > Default from inside MinFreeManager app.

This will show you what the stock settings are.

The levels we have set are absolutely fine, this keeps the fine nice and smooth with no lag.
I don't want to go into great detail, but we use this tweak on every phone that we have developed for,it gives the best performance possible.

Thats a good question, not really sure why it would do that. Ill go ahead and follow waht you did and see if it happens to me and why.

Just a follow up, it showed up again twice but this time when making a call, on dialing out I hit the number 3 key, 3 showed up above but number 1 key lit up orange after hitting 3 and stayed lit up and the screen froze until I held the power key and re woke the phone..

I'm not sure how these capacitive screens work, but the screen is clean of any oils or grease smears just in case that makes any conections..

1.5 worked flawless from the day I flashed it though. this only showed up on 1.6.2 for me.

I'm only installing 4 things to the rom after a flash.
awd ex 1.21, adw gingerbread theme, beautiful widgets, and beautiful widgets ad on

Thanks

yes I know what it means I posted the usage info to show the activity on the phone ie no talk time used that the phone was idle.

How would I be able to tell if Stagefright and/or Jit is enabled or not?
Someone correct me if I'm wrong but Thunderom v.1.4 or higher, the buildprops are pushed on the SDCard. 1) By default, they won't be flashed and 2) to flash it, you boot into recovery and flash update the relevant file (stock/deluxe/Jit/etc...) The deluxe contains both Jit and StageFright. At least that's what I did with deluxe.

Good idea and thanks if it happens just holler and we'll try to get it all figured out.

It's how you get the extra big boost in quadrant and a couple other things but at the loss of some audio/video performance. There some apps that play better with it enabled and some that don't so we tried to cover everyone's needs/wants and make flashable zips to go back and forth really easy.

phone sat idle today for 7 hours with no drain whatsoever while in locker at work. So the reflash I did last night fixed it wooooooot.

btw beezy come to Texas sometime and I will let you take the superbee down the drag strip quarter mile in 8.759 secs

yes you are correct. I asked about those last night

You got it right. When you flash ThundeROM by default we have JIT and hardware acceleration enabled. These appear to be fine and no notable issues have been found because of them. Stagefright on the other hand is a catch 22, without it some stuff designed for 2.2 won't work, with it some other stuff designed for general android phones won't work. That's why we disable stagefright by default and leave it up to the end user to decide what they want to work.

There are 3 build props pushed to the SD card when flashing and all 3 are packaged up to be flashed, meaning if you decide you want to try them, boot into recovery and flash the package you want. The description of the files are in the names of the flashable zips on your SD card.

Thanks!

Just wanted to say thanks to KSmithInNY and beezy (and anyone else that has helped)!
I've had the phone since launch and finally jumped in the ROM world at 1.6.2. My phone is better than ever, super fast! Thanks!

I've been running juicedefender for a few days now per a suggestion earlier in the thread. It doesn't seem to interfere with the ROM at all but it does mess with the data connection to save battery. That's fine if you don't stream anything. I can't listen to pandora at work with juicedefender running. Besides, I think I got better battery performance without it. Going to uninstall.
