I thank you both for the quick reply and I realize the question about the SD swap was a bit stupid but since I just rooted and backed up the phone to the 2GB SD card and now I have a 8GB card to use I thought I would lose the data stored there or at least the image backups? I'm I right about that?

this one's a bit more tricky...

find a 55 gallon drum of oil, (sams club 500$)
find a lighter (bic 0.99$)
get in your birthday suit and jump in oil(0$)
watching you set fire to the oil drum your in will be just priceless for us.

When the hospital releases you

remove 2gb sd card
insert 8gb sd card

upgrade complete.

if the only thing on the card is the nandroid back up, i wouldn't even copy the data from the 2gb, i'd just boot into recovery and make a new back up of your current image, provided it's running ok. If you have other files, music, pictures, the like, yeah you need to go ahead and copy those over.

Thanks itchy

You may want to consider archiving the most basic/earliest nandroid backup you have. When I first got my Optimus, I ran it unaltered (no apps, no customizations, etc.) for a few days to ensure I hadn't gotten a lemon. Then I rooted, installed a custom recovery, and did the nandroid backup before wiping and installing a custom rom followed then by customizations and apps. In theory, all I would have to do is restore that backup and replace custom recovery should I need to return my phone for whatever reason.

the only reason i didn't keep the stock rom is because: it's available in a sticky post here, the phone is so fast installing a new ROM and setting it up takes maybe 30 minuets after downloading all the apps, don't want to wast the minuscule amount of space, whichever excuse you want to use, mostly i just back up before i install a new ROM.

mine did this, I left it plugged in o er night and it worked in the morning. when these phones get drained they kick the bucket until you leave them alone on the charger haha

In the first post
Users on ThundeROM V1.5 don't need to wipe anything, just flash. Users coming from anything other than ThundeROM v1.5 should wipe factory data, dalvik, and cache prior to flashing

Sweet! Thanks Beezy!! Downloading now.

Question: Can I still use SetCPU to up my processor to 806 MHz? It runs quite stable there for me...or do I need to flash the xionia kernel back over yours? (Or will you release hardcoded kernels for different speeds?)

Flashing over 1.5 I am getting error

E:Failure at line 111:
copy_dir PACKAGE:data:
Installation aborted.

thanks

The other clock speeds are there if you'd like to use them you'd need SetCPU or OCWidget

DO you have a ext partition on your sdcard?

Yes, the ap2sd within the rom is working fine on 1.5

It may be that clockwork recovery, no support for ext remember...

gonna flash Thunder recovery back and try again
