Has anyone had trouble with the gallery? For some reason it is not loading all the pictures. Most of them come up as blank slides. I can do a slide show and see all of them just fine, but as a group - like looking at 45 pics in an album - they are not visible. Any fixes out there?

I had the same issue. Try this first:

Go into Settings->Applications->Manage Applications->All->Gallery and hit "Force Stop" then "Clear Data" and "Clear Cache".

Trying going back into Gallery and see if that works. If not, you may have to do what I did:

Mount the phone via USB and go to Android->data->cache and delete the directory that has "cooliris" in the name. Then unmount the phone from the PC and try again. Alternatively, if you have a File Manager app on the phone, you ought to be able to delete it without mounting on the PC.

Hope one of these helps.

But I haven't had it happen until I rooted and flashed the ROM...

It happens whenever it wants to, I wasn't rooted when it happened either. Im trying to find a way to make it not happen at all.

i canot get anything to work im a noob to android is it possible to "Dumb" down the instructions or a tutorial video idk im so lost right now

As always, great rom! I love the unlock screen! So many nice tweaks in this update and everything is seems to be running flawlessly. We appreciate it :D

The ROMs work great and the instructions are super easy even for a newbie like me. I don't know if anyone else has this problem but my phone sometimes just resets itself for no apparent reason. I've had this happen on V1.6 as well as V1.6.2. It resets when I press "Home" twice or if I press "Volume UP" twice.

This is my first Android phone so I'm not even sure if this supposed to happen. Grassy Ass!

That shouldn't be happening, did you notice this before you rooted and flashing?

Jitters with this last release when using awd ex, screen will jitter and jump around,
Ill be in a screen and the phone will vibrate and then ill be blown to main Screen
where an icon shortcut will apear on its own but the screen will sit and jitter and lock up
untill the power button is pressed and the screen re awakened.

Any ideas?

I use adw most the time and haven't had this happen to me. Does this happen when using the launcher included in the rom?

its at 1% also there are 3 buildprop zip files on my sd what are they and do I need to keep them

You can remove them if you want they are the build.prop.zips that enable stage fright.
how's your battery acting still dropping like crazy?

well I decided to reflash and only installed terminal emulator, opera mini, astro fm, ink pad and absolute system . battery is slow to charge and will drain with moderate use while still on charger. am going to let it goto full charge then see what happens in the morning.

before I reflashed I took off the task killer and by the time the steelers and jets game was over had 36% battery drain. so I am hoping this reflash does the trick. and yes I did wipe factory cache and davlik before I reflashed.

Good idea and thanks if it happens just holler and we'll try to get it all figured out.

stage fright?

It's how you get the extra big boost in quadrant and a couple other things but at the loss of some audio/video performance. There some apps that play better with it enabled and some that don't so we tried to cover everyone's needs/wants and make flashable zips to go back and forth really easy.

In my defense, I got the phone at noon and had it rooted/flashed by the end of the night. It keeps happening when I press random keys. I installed Pandora and pressed the back button twice and the phone rebooted itself. One time, it rebooted while I was in the middle of the call.

I figure if I typed something in wrong during the rooting process, I wouldn't make it this far right?

Yeah you wouldn't of made it this far. Im thinking that there's three things you can do from here to try in narrow down the problem.I would try them in the order i post them.

-remove all the apps you have installed, power off, and then on. Don't install anything for a little while and just mess around with the phone to see if the reboots keep happening.

-Boot into recovery, and wipe everything. You don't have to wipe rotation or battery stats.Flash 1.6.2,reboot run it for a little bit,If the reboots are still happening then do below.

-There's a sticky on how to return to stock, follow along and return to stock if the problem are happening now then i hate to say it but there has to be some kind of hardware issue that needs to be looked into. If you got it today then you still have time to take and exchange for a new one.

I know that might not be what you wanted to hear but if it is something in the phone,i think you want to address it asap.

Thanks, guy. Prepare for an onslaught of silly questions though.

1) I downloaded the BuildPropDeluxe which increased my Linpack from 7 thingamagigs to 9 and increased my quadarant from 500~ to 1168. Would this have any impact on the stability?

2) If it's a hardware issue, will it also come up on the stock rom? Or am I doomed with a stock-only stable phone? I don't think Sprint will buy my argument that I need to return my phone b/c it can't be rooted.

3) I read some other posts about instability due to overclocking. Do I need to reduce the processor speed or is this factor irrelevant? Does overclocking instability = crazy reboots?

I think I'll wait a few days before returning to stock. My wife's phone runs stock and it's starting to feel like quicksand.

It's good to ask questions when unsure or to confirm things.

1)That shouldn't effect stability at all on your sdcard there should already be a zip."BuildProp-Stock" that will put you back to before you flashed the other.

2)If its hardware then it will come up on stock. Lmao, yeah i don't think they would like that either. You won't be doomed.lol

3)See this is why asking questions is a very good thing cause that completely slipped my mind. On the second post is a Boot_600_max.zip grab that and flash. It's stock speeds so if it's a problem cause of the Overclocking we did by default it should go away.Im kind of hoping this is and then on the other hand I hope not cause the just means you have a picky phone,it wouldn't be the first time we have seen this,it happens on every phone that's out.

I went back to stock for about five minutes last night and i know what you mean i don't wish stock on anyone.lol

Sidenote- great name die hard is the best!

I'll see how many times it reboots tomorrow and then I'll d/l the stock file. I think I have 30 days to return my phone. Hopefully, I won't need to...

The features/price ratio of this phone is ginormous.
