By the way my battery life has been Great up until the new VD update and TR 1.8.2 just waiting to see how it all goes from here. It seems to as good as before but only 13 plus hours since the update. Great forum by the way.

I didn't wipe data either and everything works great. As for airplane mode, it is supposed to turn it on and then back off to address an issue that is noted in the change log. Looks like you are good to go! Congrats!

Nah for whatever reason it's not disabling airplane mode, unless I manually do it.

Ksmith - can you make a zip/flash to perhaps disable this feature?

Try wiping Cache and Dalvik, then reflash TR1.8.2

Still no good. But I disabled the fix from starting and that worked.

I'm running 1.8.2 plus stock button zip and sometimes when I try to wake up my phone using the buttons on the front, only the buttons light up and the screen does not. And after this happens, even the power button doesn't turn on the screen (it only turns the front button lights on and off). It works most times, but it has happened at least 3 times so far to me.

Hasanyone else experienced this? Do I need to re-flash 1.8.2 if I want to undo the button patch? Thanks! I do appreciate all the work on this ROM, it's so much better than stock

That's a stock LG problem we've inherited. I haven't had the problem in a couple of months but i know exactly what you're talking about. Yes, you need to reflash the ROM over itself to put the buttons back the way we have them. We'll there's other ways but it would be obnoxious and possibly confusing for me to sit and list the 3 different ways it could be done. Easiest, just flash the ROM, don't need to wipe anything, wont lose any apps, won't lose any settings.

No, if you're on VC baseband you can flash 1.8.2 over 1.8 without issue. VD source is compatible with VC and VD radio.

The reason I ask is because since I use a different launcher than the one that comes with ThunderROm, I would like to change some of my apps icons to new icons that come with this rom.

If you are using this ROM then you can use the icons that come with the ROM ... even with a 3rd party launcher. The launcher doesnt make the icon revert back to stock.

Edit: What I am trying to do is: on my screen dock I want to place my skyfire app but want to replace its icon with the ThundeROM browser icon. I just think it looks better than the Skyfire icon.

-Long press on the item
a)If it's already the item you want, such as ermail and you just want to change the icon, select "chose icon" then "default icon"
b) if you want to change the action, maybe it's email and you want it to be market, long press on it, change shortcut, change it to what you want, when it asks you to select the icon "chose icon" then "default icon"

Gotcha, yeah that's different than what i described above. You want to use the icon of an app that comes with the ROM to represent an app that doesn't come with the ROM on your launcher. You'll need the PNG.

I'm currently using a build that's a couple versions old... on ls670zv9 right now. Whenever I try flashing 1.8.2, I get a Hands Free Activation error and no data at all. What exact steps am I supposed to take to get everything updating and working with the newest ThundeROM build? Thanks again! <3

You need to use the LG Updater tool to update to ZVD because TR 1.8 and 1.8.2 are based on it.
