I think Motorola killed the X because of the Nexus 6, even with the size difference. I'm just a little envious of the extra hardware that the N6 gets.

I am too, but I am very jealous of what the N6 is getting right now, and the fact the X didn't get the same camera with OIS, a bigger battery, or stereo speakers, or 32/64gb option. The fact that the N6 also have the ambient display and always listening make it more enticing. I am even considering getting the N6 and a secondary smaller device just for work hours.Really? The X wasn't designed to compete with the likes of the Nexus 6/Note 4 phones. The X is for a different user IMO. If anything, the X compared more to the N5. And that is even a far stretch. The X isn't dead! The Turbo just takes care of the issues that some potential customers of the new X had. I believe that most of the new X owners are very happy with their phone including me.

I hear you. If I had to make a complaint on me getting the '14 X is that I don't think it's that much of an upgrade over the '13 X. When I ask myself if the new X makes my life better/easier than the '13 X did, I answer 'no'. Cause of that, I kinda wish I didn't jump to the new X. It is what it is though and I'll deal with my decision. Though, the better camera and larger sharper screen is growing on me. Plus I swear I'm getting better signal too. Good luck with whatever you do, cause if you do get a N6, you're helping Moto out too!
I couldn't agree more. I felt compelled to upgrade, but to be honest, I was perfectly happy with the 2013 Moto X and could have easily lived with it another year before upgrading. The larger screen is growing on me, and I too feel like I'm getting a better signal (especially at work), but it kind of feels like one of those iPhone upgrades, where they only changed a couple of minor things so big deal. Don't get me wrong - I love my 2014 Moto X - it just didn't have that "WOW!" factor the 2013 Moto X did when I turned it on for the first time.

I though Lucasfilm still owned the trademark for "droid", but leased it to VZW for lots of money.

Ugh, Moto X -- you were supposed to be the chosen one.
:
It is for me and many others. The X still has a place in the market. Not every phone is for everyone.

I keep reading that there will be a Google Play edition that will work with T-Mobile and AT&T.
Still waiting to see if this is true.
More than likely I'll be selling my X and buying the turbo for full retail price. I love the X for its design, basically stock Android. The battery life and camera are just really bad. I can't even get through the day with it. If the Turbo reviews say the camera is better, I will be jumping ship. I had the original X and wanted to love this phone but I just can't with the battery life.
