Difference between the new EC10 Kernels from Source

Voodoo sound is freakin boss by the way!! Does anyone know if it also works for bluetooth audio? or is it just for the 3.5mm jack?

I am running times_infinity's ultra low voltage kernel and so far so good. I think I will actually give it a shot for a few days and see how battery life is. Phone still feels snappy. Quadrant at about 1450 although that doesn't mean much.

So what is everyone's general concensus on which kernel to go with right now?

Although I am intrigued by the super undervolted kernels over on xda, I think I am going to continue to run Adry's kernel update from the OP in this thread...

just want to hear all of your thoughts on this as well....

Thanks buddy.

I was running jt's second kernel for a little while and was getting phenomenal battery life. Switched to Adrynalyne's this morning and battery was nose diving at first, so I switched to jt's third kernel, seemed to do fine, now switched back to Adrynalyne's and battery seems to be holding steady. All of them seem to be giving about the same performance in other areas. It's really too early to make good comparisons among them though as you should really give each of them 2 or 3 days use to make real good comparisons. I'm just tickled to have undervolted kernels right now.

Well this morning I loaded imnuts 100 uv kernel...it locked up phone...switched to 50 uv then lost root. Went back to times infinity kernel which surprisingly got my root back. Just loaded up imnuts new updated 50 kernel and all seems fine..no loss of root and no fc or bl.

One sad thing is boot sounds worked with earlier kernel but no work with updated kernel.

Phone was working good b4 all this but you know us flash addicts...we need new stuff.

Been unplugged for 7 a half hours and still at 95 percent on comavolt

Is there a fix yet for the new kernels not recording audio with the videorecorder? I did have the issue with addy's kernel so I went back to ec10. I would love to go back to un undervolted kernel but having kids I am always recording their silly stuff.

Holy wow. I hope I can be that lucky. How many much use during that time?

I read this somewhere and I can't seem to find it now, but I heard there was an issue with the home button mapping with these new kernals. Is this true or has this been fixed? Thanks.

I have a Verizon Fascinate I500. I have used most of the SC's through 2.9.1. All end with the same result; Black Screen of Death after a few hours of running it. The time varies, but is seems to be more common after using the phone (incoming or outgoing calls).

The versions of SC and ROM's I have been using come from DroidXcon and Adrynalyne. I have never mixed and matched the kernels beyond what is included with the posted ROM's. I have attempted Voodoo and non-Voodoo. I have also tried comparing EB01_DXC.tar with EB01DB_DXC.tar. In my experience, EB01_DXC.tar is the only one that works without causing the Black Screen of Death. I am thinking that it has to do with the deodex versions, but maybe not. I have cleared the cache and I have started with clean installs using ODIN. It even happens before I install any apps.

It seems like most of you have your phones pretty much bleeding edge. Have any of you experienced this same issue? And, if so, did you manage to correct it with any particular combination of kernel and SC?

If someone out there is not experiencing the Black Screen of Death, would you be kind enough to tell me what combination of SC and kernel you are running?

Thanks so much!

My phone:
HW version: I500.04
Model: SCH-I500
Firmware: 2.2.1
Baseband: S:i500.04 V.EB01
Kernel: 2.6.32.9
Build number: SCH-I500.EB01

I'm running jt's latest 327-2. DL'd voodoo control and watched some movies on the phone. Battery life excellent, sound and picture the best I have ever had on that phone.

Can't wait for adry and jt's future release off of the mesmerize source, this phone will be damn near unbeatable.

I already answered your question in Adrynalyne's superclean thread where you posted it before, but here goes again. The problem was only with it's first kernel the 0326 one, it is fixed in all the other kernels.

Thanks Landshark. Sorry, I didn't see your response from earlier. Thought my question got overlooked.

Just my alarm going off, and typing that message.

I was going say... you couldnt have really used it to have only been at 97% after 7 hours. Did you have data off as well?

Wehn I am not using my phone, I turn data off as much as possible. I have gone 14+ hours that way and have still been in the 70% range. It is definitely a battery saver

I answered this question in this thread already:

thats some nice batt life but I could never go the data off route. But I couldnt be happier with my batt life since flashing jt's 0327-2 kernel. Going on 17hrs right now w/batt reading 23%. I've had data and gps on the whole time w/heavy use...I even used my phone at the gym for 2hrs to play Pandora...Voodoo sounds is soooo freakin great! audio goes so hard now, love it!
