Difference between the new EC10 Kernels from Source

Im thinking about flashing one of the newer nonvoodoo kernels. anyone have a recommendation? any of them stand out better as far as battery life and stability?

Everything I've read over at XDA seems positive with all the new kernels. The devs have been extremely responsive to make changes based on glitches people are reporting. Try all the nonvoodoo ones. Flash one and use it for a couple of days, to really get a feel for how it works with your set up. Then flash another one to see how that one does. Everyone will likely have slightly different experiences with these kernels because of the differences in everyone's setups.

I'm partial to Adry's kernel, but that's just me

I unplugged my phone at 7am this morning, been using it heavily all day. It's 2:30pm now and I'm at 80%

How the crap do you guys get this kind if batt life? Starting to make me think I need to buy a new batt.

One thing i can say for sure is that Nemesis' 1200 OC and -50UV kernel runs really good on my phone, as far as responsive-ness and lockups were concerned. Only drawback is the the battery drains much much much faster, like 20 % an hour. but im giving it at least 2-3 more boots before i make a final decision. It gave me a weird issue where i clicked the MMS app on my homescreen and it loaded up settings instead, and then forceclosed an game i was playing earlier after i clicked the MMS app.

The kernel in the superclean forum has been giving me issues left and right. Deleted apps, SOD, lagging, and i shut it off last night to charge and it kept locking up on boot. The bootscreen would come on and then once its supposed to switch to the launcher and do the media scanner reading and all that good stuff, it freezes requiring a battery pull.

I tried JT's kernel but immediately switched to Adry's once i saw he modded it. JT's ran fine for the 4 hours i had it on.

Im going to try each and every kernel for at least two days and post anything i notice for everyone.

Times_Infinitys has been giving me battery issues same with adys so I dont know what else to tell you on that ive tried both of those and same battery issues. Also infinitys kernel sends you back to blue Clockwork so if you choose that one you will need to odin or flash the newest clockwork from today. Hope that helps. I hope soon they will come out with more undervolted kernels for us non voodooers. Time will tell

I've been running Adry's kernel for a few days now and it's performed flawlessly, couldn't be happier

all the non voodoo ones still have battery probs. Maybe not his Voodoo one cant speak for that one. I just want bettery battery and I will be a happy happy camper

both imnuts and times_infinity have updated their kernels in the past day or two, have you updated them?

Ya wish I would have about going back to blue cwm before flashing but its not too big of a deal. But since I'm a Mac user I guess my flashing capabilities are gone till I can use a friends PC. Phone is fully functional now though so its not a big issue.

For a novice, can you explain the pros and cons of voodoo and non-voodoo?

If you dont have much experience flashing kernels, ROMS, and etc, i suggest sticking to Non-Voodoo. If you mess up, its easier to fix and get you back on track. Voodoo mess ups are more trickier. Generally if your on voodoo, stick to voodoo kernels, not non voodooo. I havent noticed anything crazy on voodoo kernels, but theres a very very very slight difference. nothing to brag about.
