I thought by using a task manager, it could save on battery life ?
Ive been using one on my EVO since yesterday with no issue...
I don't see an issue with use Task Managers. If anything essential is "killed", the phone will reboot at its worst. I think the benefits (better performance and battery life) far outweigh the risks.
Things that I have noticed running out of nowhere:
YouTube
Stocks
MP3 Store
Music
Peep
Friend Stream
Calendar
Music
Messages
I have thought about these and assume they don't need to be *constantly* running. (yes no maybe?)
Yet on the same note, task killers are known to make the OS unstable. Let Android manage your memory.
*Moderators, please don't delete/move this thread. I would like to get an Excel database going with this data and I'll post it back here periodically.
I want to say no, but I'll leave that to someone who knows for sure.dumb question, but if you killed the apps, does it still function?
example, if I killed gmail or handcent sms, does it still receive emails and sms?
