Discuss Tips to Maximize Battery Life Here!

Well, since my power button decided to die late last night I had to do a factory reset at least 3 times. I got it working and do not see a difference from before. I reset it fully charged tho does it have to be somewhat close to discharge??? Just wondering because it was hell getting everything back on it :(

From my experience over the last couple of days, turning off the 'data always on' option causes problems with Pandora (it would stop after almost every song to search for network connection, and only find a connection once I turn the screen). I've gone back to data always on as I'm close to a charger most times, and if not I always have a spare battery, so oh well. I'm just hoping someone out there is working on improving battery technology to match the improvements in other areas of tech.

A "hard reset" is different for different phones ... sometimes it is a button you have to push with a paperclip

So don't be an elitist a$$hole ... not everyone here is well versed in technology

i have tried these steps and downloaded ATK, but my battery is still draining fairly quickly. i had it fully charged and unplugged it at 1230. it is now 245 and im down to 86%. i've made a couple short calls, and sent 4 text messages. Outside of taking the battery back to Sprint, is there something I'm missing?

Try doing a hard reset. I just read where that will help. Also, keep the GPS off, its a battery hog.

Agree on it messing with Pandora when turned off. Although it was huge battery save with it on, I think we need a on/off toggle for this.

to save your scene: Menu > Scenes > choose Current (unsaved) and save.

this won't work if you do a hard reset though.

Steps to do a hard reset: Settings, Privacy, Factory Data Reset. Be sure you have all data backedup before doing this!!!

Yep thats kind of what I was getting at. I guess its not the end of the world to set up the device again, but it would be nice if it was all ready to go again after the flash assuming you restored all of your apps/widgets being used on your home screens.

My battery has seemed to get a little better each day as I use the phone, but still drained pretty quickly. I followed all the tips and tricks people had suggested and it helped a little. This morning I went to pull my phone off its charger at 7:30 and it would not turn on. It was like frozen or something. Anywho, I did a battery pull, it turned back on and has been working fine ever since. It is now almost 3:30 (been using it moderately for 8 hours now) and my batter has only dropped like 8% and I am beyond stoked! I don't know what happened, but it's as if the battery pull somehow gave new life to the phone and I am very pleased to say the least.

My battery life seemed to improve after hard reset as well! I'm not elitist a$$hole, just an arrogant a$$hole...feels the luv in the thread.
