Hey,

I'm curious what every one does when they go to a theme park with a cell phone. Do you bring it with you? Or do you leave it at the motel/RV/Car/Monster truck?

Do you rent a locker or bring a sandwich baggy when you go on that one water ride?

Typically in the past I've brought a sandwich baggy for my cell phone and kept in my pocket. I'm just curious what other people do.

Well, you pay 50$+ a month for the phone; might as well use it :P

Yes, I bring it all the time, especially when I need a ride home haha.
On Water Rides, I just leave it with a friend that doesn't want to ride or leave it by the station.

WORSE MISTAKE EVER- At Knott's Berry Farm, I tried to take a video on the top of Supreme Scream. My Samsung Glyde, kinda.. fell.. from the top ):

Last year at Disney, when I was still with my Storm, was the first time I explored this question. At the time I had a heavy Otterbox case and decided it was safe no matter what. I ended up being right even as my toddler daughter managed to grab and toss my Storm from the Dumbo ride.

This year as we plan to return I will be taking a Droid Incredible and/or a Samsung Vibrant. No way, no how, am I taking these without similar protection which isn't available (yet) for the Samsung and I'm hesitant w/ the Droidinc as it hasn't been as secure as the version for the Storm was. -Pk

I go to Disney every year, sometimes twice... I've always brought my phone with me... If I go on a water ride where I'll get wet, it stays with someone not riding...

I actually can't wait until I go in October... The Incredible's camera will allow me to leave the regular camera at home... Looking forward to utilizing Vignette quite often...

It is funny that you bring up this post because I saw something from Gowalla (I think) about Cedar Point. When reading I was wondering if people brought their phone with them to an amusement park. I would hate to bring my phone and have it fall out of my pocket while on a ride!

I leave my X in the ride as most of time we pack a lunch and return to eat then i check it to see what i missed..

I would leave it in the car or....swith to an antique flip phone for the day just in case...we all have that one old phone laying around the house. might as well put it to use. :)

I went to a waterpark this summer- the 3 of us who had Smartphones left ours at home (Droid, BB Storm, and my Droid 2 at the time). My mom brought her piece of crap flip phone with us for emergencies. It was a bummer not having it for the 2 hour drive, but we survived. It just wasn't worth the risk of them overheating in the car/locker all day.

Personally .. It depends on the weather.. Generally I take it with me.. I'm paranoid and always checking my waist but I still feel I NEED it.

For anyone planning a trip to Disney, touringplans.com has an app that displays real time line waiting times along with fastpass times. Now that is a reason to bring a smartphone to a theme park.

I took my epic to knottsberry, I would agree on bringing a zip lock bag if you plan on getting wet.

I'm going to Universal in Orlando in a couple weeks, and my phone is staying locked it the room safe. My girlfriend has a bb pearl, so we may bring that in case of emergency, but we're on vacation! I don't want people being able to reach us!
