Do you prefer a flat screen or a curved screen?

I would prefer a flat screen. Unfortunately, the 3 most recent devices I have used, the Note 9, Oneplus 8 and now the Note 10 Plus, all have curved screens. I don't mind the curved screen look-wise, I just don't like the fact that it makes it pretty much not an option to use a case with no screen protector or you could easily damage the screen.

Devices I have used in the past such as the S5, G6 and V30, I could rock with no screen protector if I wanted as it wasn't an issue as long as the case I was using was raised enough to protect the screen. Sure do miss those days.

Flat screen. I wouldn't care but I use gestures and for me the flat screen works much better.

And using a case *with* a screen protector on a curved display is a no-go, as well.

Flat, flat, flat. PLEASE.

I don't mind a curved *back". In fact, I recently found my old HTC 1x in a drawer and when I picked it up remembered why I loved it so much - the slightly curved back and size made it just perfect to hold.

I always preferred flat screens (iPhone 4, 4S, 5, 5S were my last ones) Than iPhone put curved screen on 6 and newer models, and I got used to it. Lastly I was using iPhone X and Note 10+, both curved. Then, I bought an iPhone 12 Pro Max and just remembered how much I prefer flat screens. For me, curved ones are a no more.

I miss this old HTC phones! I miss HTC, period.

Curved screen is trash.

Phone is harder to hold.
It creates a glare on the edge which annoys me.
The absolute worst part is it negatively impacts usability.

I used to use my S Pen daily, since getting the Note 8 almost quit using it. A stylus and a curved screen do not mix.

Back in the Windows Phone era I had a HTC Titan II, HTC One M8 and a HTC 8x. All great phones. I with there were more choices in hardware now like there was then.
I had the One M8 Android version in Verizon's red. One of the best looking phones and the depth sensor camera was cool. It was also one of the first metal body phones, so it did suffer some bending issues. The biggest problem was the USB port seemed weak and I replaced it twice under warranty.

All those micro usb phones i didn't like , eventually would cause issues .

In my case, it was normally the cables that would go bad, not the phone's port. The M8 was the only one that had port issues, and seemed more to do with how it mounted to the board than the port itself.

Gotcha , im just saying in general was happy to get past those and to usb c

I prefer a flat screen. Curved screens look nice, but I don't like the feel in my hand.

Now, having said that, my favorite phone ever was the LG G4, which was flat with a slight bend from top to bottom. Much more ergonomical.

Agreed. That was my favorite phone. So ergonomical and felt secure in my hand. It was the last phone I had that was 16:9 so the screen felt bigger than current generation phones. Although I do love the rounded corners on phones now. I loved the back power button and volume buttons. Also the last phone I had that had a removable battery. Battery life was horrible and I had the bootlooping issues from overheating. But the form factor was perfect.

I don't mind it but can I live without it. Sure. I have no problems using an iPhone.

What's really frustrating is the lack of Tempered Glass screen protectors available that works with the FPS. I gave up on it, my Samsung Note 20 Ultra is only protected by VRS wallet case.

I totally agree with you. The lack of tempered glass screen protectors that work for phones with ultrasonic fingerprint sensors is pretty unfortunate.
