Does anyone regret not getting a Nexus?

I literally walked in with the Galaxy Nexus, gave them my account info and they got me a micro SIM and activated it. You could do the same over the phone, but then you'd have to wait for them to send you a micro SIM.

Aww crap. My grand strategy was to order a new phone using my girlfriend's upgrade on our family plan, swap SIMs/phones, and call it a day. Looks like I have to get Big Red involved. Why couldn't it be as easy as T-Mobile/AT&T? There's no reason for it not to be.

I thought you just swap cards now. I have done it with 2 rezounds with no issue. Why would it not work with other 4g phones...

That kinda makes me want to use my upgrade on one, I'd just have to bite the no keyboard bullet from here on out though.
On a slightly related note, did you simply switch your SIM card from the Rezound onto the Nexus? Is there a special process for switching 4G phones at Verizon? I'm used to doing it on their website and entering the numbers on the inside of the phone, behind the battery.

just take the sim out of the Rezound and put it into the new 4GLTE phone. i've done it several times when moving from my Rezound to TBolt and vice versa. No problems at all.

If it's a 3G phone, then you can do it online as well as in store or over the phone. but beware, the 4GLTE sim might be dead quickly after moving to a 3G phone, as in sometimes less than a day. You can get a new one for free from the store or online or through phone call though.

i thought that the GNex has a regular sim, not a micro sim.

There are adapters available, I paid about a Buck on eBay shipped. I use one in my Resound and bounce between my Nexus and Rezound with a micro sim.

Thanks for the input everyone. I didn't realize the Nexus used Micro SIM.
It's a hassle to have to either;
A.) Deal with Verizon every time I wanted to switch phones, or
B.) Cut down my SIM card and use adapters to switch
Seems like it's not worth it. I'm wondering why the hell micro SIMs are necessary. If they truly are, then why the hell not jump straight into micro SIMs with this generation of phones, HTC?

Nah, just like on my Rezound, I'm ROM'd through and through. So the update doesn't mean much to me other than possibly better radios than the leak. I found a great ROM that is a hybrid phone/tablet ROM and it's actually pretty friggin awesome. Some of these ROM devs on the Nexus are doing some interesting things.

I just did that as a joke, I figured you rommed up by now. What rom is that? My brothers got a Nexus, that sounds intriguing, he's gets bored of the usual fares pretty quick.

I dont regret not getting it....

I regret not keeping it. 2 Rezounds since 1-14 and stuck in 1x both phones in weaker areas.....2 different sim cards....

Volume issues on both. Noise cancellation issues on both. Basically the exact same issues on both phones. More than a coincidence IMO. Wait...1st Rezound was stuck in a boot loop right before it was stolen. 2nd one hasnt done that yet. To my knowledge...I barely use it now.

IMHO....phone, connection issues cancel each other out with the G Nex and Rezound. After that....the G Nex has more of an upside, more positives.

This is what I ahte about phones. I have been in dreamland with the rezound. No issues, no complaints. When I bust out a HD video my iphone using friends fall in love with the rezound.

The only connection issues I have had has been when they upgrade the 4G in my area and things are shaky for a day, than back to blazing speed goodness :). No dropped calls and clear as a whistle.

I hope you find smartphone happiness!

P.S. Is it some justice that someone stole a phone in boot loop hell?

LOL!! Yea that is funny. They didnt have the battery door either so it was moot. Unless they stole a battery door from somewhere...Its messed up cuz I was on the verge of taking it back. I had to go thru insurance to get a new Rezound. Now I dont know if I can get put in a different phone or have to keep getting Rezounds.

I know...you can go in any forums of the Rezound, RAZR and G Nex at different sites and see complaints about all 3 phones. Someone got rid of a RAZR for connection issues. Many G Nex folks are happy, have no connection issues. Its all a crap shoot for a decent phone. I just go by the simplest reasons with these devices. No issues with my RAZR, issues with the Rezound and G Nex. Prefer things on my RAZR more than on my Rezound.

So you have a rezound and razr? Why not sell one and save the cash for the next round of new phone goodness?!

That sounds like a good idea. I'm already on tiered data..... I do have the double data deal tho. Would hate to miss it later. I have a family plan with 3 lines. One line has my Droid 1/DroidX1.
