Does one colour have more issues than the other?

Seems like a superficial question:
Does the one colour of Pixel phone seem to have more issues than the other?

Really, it's just colour, right? Well, if one is made in a different factory, and / or maybe a batch had more issues then the next, I kind of want to know.

I was dead set on NOT getting a Pixel 2 XL from all the bad press but realized I was just reading press releases and all the negative. I started reading comments, threads of "will you keep your XL?" And sure enough, the majority of people are saying "Hells yeah I'm keeping it!". It's given me hope I'll be happy with this purchase. My decision now is how do I set myself up to make sure I don't receive a bad phone out the gate? How do I make sure I don't have to return it 1-5 times to get one that works?

If you've purchased one and it didn't need to be returned, what storage size / colour do you have?
If you've purchased one and it did need to be returned, what storage size / colour was it and did you get the same afterwards? How is that one doing?

Colour doesn't matter much to me. I'm leaning towards all Black but I like the Black / White as well. It'll probably be covered by a case anyways so doesn't matter. Also, storage size. I'd spend the extra $$ on double the storage but again, if one has more issues, then I'll go with the other.

Family members got three Pixel 2 XL's on the same day. Bought from Verizon on December 2nd.

Two black and white 64GB; one black 128GB. All have slightly blue tint when screen is tilted. We noted the problem and haven't thought of it since. No other problems with any of the other issues that have been reported.

For the record. the Blue tint is a non-issue for me. It's all the other issues being reported. Burn in, newly reported speaker issues, etc etc. Although, if the Blue tint is VERY blue, then maybe but I'm not worried

Black model here updated to 8.1, blue tint issue isn't a massive problem on mine. Look at it how I would normally it's fine, and not noticeable until the phone is at an angle that I'd never use.

No burn in issues, no sound issues and touch wood no other issues very happy with this device.

I don't think one color is going to be any more or less problem free. If you are going to use a case it won't matter but be aware that the two colors have a very different in hand feel as far as the texture. I was initially sold on the black and white model but just wasn't crazy about the super smooth texture and preferred the grippier solid black. But I don't use a case so that was more important to me. Either way, it's a great phone. I sold the iPhone X to keep the Pixel 2 XL and couldn't be happier!

It seems like those who have commented so far agree with your statement. Was just double checking before I decide to place an order. Glad to hear there was another factor I wasn't thinking of, the texture of each.

Thank you all for commenting. I think Vader Black will be my choice. I'm sure I won't be disappointed.

You fell for the fake bad press stories by the trolls? Every phone gets hammered by trolls overblowing any issue they can find. Then the phone review websites are so desperate for money they will promote it for clickbait.

Well thank you for reiterating what I already stated in my previous post but in a different way and not commenting on the actual question I had posed to this lovely forum. Much appreciated kind sir.

My only debate now is 64gb or 128gb. My current phone has expandable memory and I have 64gb SD card in it with 32gb internal. I haven't used half of any of this yet and I figure with free photo storage til 2020, I wont be using nearly as much space on my phone but really, it's personal usage on how much one would need.

Still glad to hear no one is having issues with one specific model colour over another
