If you're getting more than ~1500mA on Ampere (large number up top), I'd be very interested to know exactly what model charger you're using.

At 98% charged, it was at 980,so probably need to drain it a lot to get a bigger #

Charge Rate should show Turbo regardless of battery percentage.

As an example, I'm 97% on my Moto X Pure Edition and it's charging at 360 mA but I'm plugged into a TurboPower charger so it shows the Charge Rate as Turbo.

Obviously it won't show turbo on a QC charger, but the speed will be comparable to Turbo. And the closer to 100% it does slow down.

Also, note that while charging speed is relatively stable from 0% to 70%, it gets progressively slower. For instance, it takes considerably more time to go from 90% to 100% than from 0% to 10%.

Let it get to 84% and it was doing max 1330. I am sure it would get higher if I let it drain further.

My guess - Quick Charge 2.0 won't charge a Moto Z rapidly.

There's rapidly, and then there's barely at all. At .59A it's like being plugged into a PC USB.

I plugged into a 2.1a standard charger, and a 2.1a battery bank. Looks like the QC chargers do have an advantage, when if they're nowhere near as fast as the stock charger.

You miss my point, which was not directed at you. If that's the output he's getting, something else is going on. It may be related to the QC2 circuitry, it may not. It may just be a faulty cable or charger. Point is, the should get better output from any modern charger, "quick" or "turbo" or not.

Well, it's doing it without saying Turbo (Motorola's thing). Ampere does 1530 when at 50% or so on QC 2.0. Charges to full in no time.

Quick Charge 2.0 would be double that or more.

I ran it down like you suggested. No change. In fact I left it plugged in for about half hour and it didn't charge at all. I think my only options will be to pick up some higher powered charging blocks. Was hoping to avoid that.

After trying all the 2.0 chargers for an hour and got no actual charge at all, I give up.

This is the supplied charger. So going to have to look around for something that works I guess.

I have a feeling you'll get better results on a non-Quick Charge port.

well I left the battery mod off today and used the phone heavily. Got it down to about 28%.
Tried all of my QC 2.0 chargers, all of my standard chargers, and my wifes apple chargers. None of them charged my phone. Also tried the QC 2.0 car charges and standard car charger to no avail. So Im kinda stumped at this point and not sure what to do. In fact most of the chargers would show the ampere screen in yellow and say it was discharging.

The force charger shows an output of 5v/5.7 amp. Anyone have any recommendations??????? Kind of pissed at this point.
