How do you know that the S8 has QC 3.0 and not 2.0?
Cos it has USB C
How do you know that the S8 has QC 3.0 and not 2.0?
USB C does not instantly mean QC 3.0 just FYICos it has USB C
True, but QC 3 introduced variable voltage and efficiency increases that result in lower charge temps. Hopefully that will help with battery longevity. I'll take it.QC 4 is where the true performance increases over QC 2 or 3 will be apparent.
I really think they are just limiting it software based because of the battery mishaps on the Note. Maybe they will continue to test and push it out as an update at a later date.
No because they did that with their previous model(s) only support 2.0 on the 7 series when the 820 supported 3.0 and that was before the Note 7 incident.
I believe it's because they have their own charging design which includes their implementation of wireless charging that they can't/won't support the higher standard.
I guess the 8plus will have one charger. For car, i had a cheapy off ebay. They had an open box Isignia charger at Best Buy and with wife getting two items for her iphone, I picked up the car charger to get 25% all three items
The old charger would not fit this phone and was slow. How can i make sure this is a quick charger and whether it is the 2.0 or 3.0? If this is not that, is there a quick car charger you would recommend?
Looks like it's going backThe charger will most likely have the QC logo on it or you'll see the port referencing QC 2.0 or QC 3.0 on it.
I read somewhere that Samsung is including a micro USB to USB C adapter in the box. Can anyone confirm?
